Yeah, don't really want to cut AB for a power forward. He has nice form in his shot and can defend relatively well. I'll give him a chance for another year.

Also he is from LA and he is a huge Laker fan. It doesn't hurt to have some local kids, who actually love the team rather than just collect paychecks. If I want somebody on the bench, I prefer it to be a good guy with Laker pride.

It will depend on his D....Bruce Bowen was also invisible on offense, terrible with FTs (39%) and just hitting occasional 3s (effective though).

If Brown has top notch defense, he will find his niche on the roster. It will be all about his defense.

Brown should stick to defense and spot up three. Anything else he does is terrible. He's not fast enough to beat defender, dribbles with no purpose, attacks the basket clumsily, can't even make inbound passes in the first quarter. I hope this is his last year on the team.

Guess maybe he needs to hear some whispers to get a little wake up call...

But i agree, if he doesn't start knocking down shots& August keeps improving, I'd definitely lean towards the latter.

    A clown? Because..? From Wikipedia

Doesn't sound like a clown to me. I'm not in favor of cutting Brown for him, but I would give him a camp invite and a shot at the 15 roster spot if he continues to play well in summer league.

Auguste was also Eddie Sutton Testengee semifinalist. An award given to the player who exemplifies tenacity and selflessness. Was active in his church. He's a Notre Dame guy, so I'm biased. But Auguste seems a really high character guy.

^Its not anything he has done and I don't know him good enough to judge about him by any means therefore I said "looks like" because its not necessarily the case. Just saying when you do not know him, the tattoos and haircut etc. doesn't help to think he is a high character guy.

*shrug* I don't know, man. I'm not a tattoo fan, but I'm not sure there's a correlation between haircut and/or tats and character. For every JR. Smith (tats and scumbag) there's a Dellavadova - no tats, scumbag.

Where I'm hoping to see a big improvement in Brown is when we have had time to establish our full offense and he knows exactly when to shoot. I agree with others that he is hesitant and that little indecision is causing him to be off. There always seems to be extra pressure being a Laker that even some great shooters have a hard time over coming. He keeps working hard and focusing on the right things he is likely to snap out of it at some point. Whether that is soon enough to keep him on the team remains to be seen.

I also like Auguste and hope he gets a camp invite. Hustle plays, along with a good attitude go along way. We have so many good young players we will have a hard time keeping them all but I want to keep them to the last second before having to make that decision.

What is it with shooters and the Lakers? Even Steph coming here will shot 20% from 3.

I'm not trying to belabor the point others have made above, but when does the fact that someone has tattoos mean that someone might not be a high character guy. I freely admit that sometimes if I see someone with a bunch of tattoos and if he looks kind of rough I make certain assumptions unconsciously. But none of this is fair and none of this right....
