I wanted a competent backup PG, we got him. There were so few left on the market and he's one of the better ones we could have got. He's a true pg, he'll fit the system, he can shoot, he's a vet presence. Negatives, he's 35 and doesn't play D. But, he's better than Huertas, he's a one year rental, he's salary for a trade down the line if we want as an expiring, it's a very good move. I imagine this helps us meet the salary floor as well, maybe now only needing to add 1 (or 2? Lost count at 12) more player to the roster. PG set (maybe Huertas still?) SG set, SF set, PF set, C set, we can add whatever last need we feel we have or best player available.
so i guess this means huertas is gone most likely bummer, i liked him and was interested in seeing how he'd do under luke
'Atta boy Mitch! Two 2nds and filled a need with a veteran rental. f***ing Riley in the process. The wand is not dead just yet.
Uhh... Who is right? EDIT: Ok, nevermind. First Medina tweeted that WE were giving up two second rounders, but apparently he deleted that and corrected it. We're getting the picks.
if they do give us the picks i'm guessing they'll acquire the rights of one of the lakers overseas guys so elonu or majok
If that's true, we just added two second-rounders, lost nothing (Majok, Elonnu is all I can think of, in terms of rights we held), and picked up a supremely competent backup vet PG. Pleased.
