Can't risk on a possible Westbrook deal next summer. Stretch young and sign him for 26 million for one year.

Chances are though that Wade goes back and has make up sex with Miami.

It sounds like he has almost that for one year plus a PO for 20M+ the second year. I don't think that's a better deal, unfortunately.

Ding has penned an article that is, in part, on how you decide on major change. I didn't know he was a psychologist. And to think he's been throwing away his talents on sports writing.

If the Lakers really had a chance, trade Lou and maybe offer 30-32 for one year?

The KD news is hysterical to me. For years other fans lamented the Lakers, we were the face of non-parity in the NBA. So everyone was all jazzed at the "Anti-Lakers" CBA which also had a nicely timed fall from grace of the franchise in 2011. I know I got a little crap sent my way from my non-Lakers fan friends about how there would be no more quote/unquote "bull-you-know-what" super teams anymore.

Now those same people are complaining about this (and the Heatles immediately after that CBA). I guess we weren't so bad, huh? Be careful what you wish for....

Agree...but it would also take someone of West's cache to help convince Durant to join instead of opposing them. I can see Jim Buss screwing that up. Hell, Jim Buss could probably screw up a parade.

I wonder if Curry said "Come be my Tyson Chandler" to Durant.

You know, I texted this to a friend yesterday; if Jim wanted to get rid of everything Phil Jackson in 2011 after Phil left, he should have been more forward thinking and offered a position to Jerry West in the organization. Jerry had been distant from the organization for awhile because he didn't get a long with Phil. Nevertheless, as soon as Phil leaves, you create a position for Jerry; Jery didn't want to interfere with Mitch, but something could have been creatively thought up to sway Jerry back into our organization. It makes me sick to my stomach that Jerry is pitching the best player to the best player in the world, and it's not for the Lakers. Are you freaking kidding me? Just makes me sick...

I don't like the durant move, but I don't think they'll win any titles. There's more choke on that team than in a brothel.

Cant believe people still think we'll be serious contenders for top players in FA.
