These are highlights of him while injured and rushed from his injury, he was not 100%. He'll be more effective with us and healthy.

it would make sense--if you have tons of cash and know you're getting shut out of the big names, your only competitive advantage is to drive everyone's salaries up. mission accomplished?

Man in the first 20 seconds you can see he's not 100%. He's not nearly as explosive as he was in the year previous before his knee injury. The people around him that forced him back too soon ought to be fired. As much as we gave him, he probably could have gotten up to that 70 million if healthy.

I don't expect a huge season for Timofey. If his knee is right and he's running well I expect maybe 10/8/2 something like that.

10 and 8 is very obtainable, along with his ability/knowledge of setting screens/rolling its a pretty big upgrade for us actually.

I know that 10/8/2 is a tall order for Mozgov since that would be his best in ever category, but he can't be worse than Bogut was for GS last season. Last season Bogut averaged 5/7/1.6 in 20 minutes. Mozgov is likely to play more minutes and is a better roll option.

I think it would have happened anyway, but it's totally possible that the Lakers did it on purpose. That'd be giving Mitch and Jim a lot of credit though. :D

He got pretty close with the Cavs the first year. His 66 games (46 regular, 20 post season) he averaged 10.6 points and 7~ rebounds in about 25 minutes per game.

Less than 2 blocks though. Luke's style should inflate the stats a little which is what I'm counting on.

I think your right about the stat inflation... More than numbers I'm glad to have a large presence in the middle that can move on defense and actually dunks the ball with authority. Nothing I hate worse than big guys throwing up soft crap that gets blocked. Dunk the ball. Toss in that Luke will actually have a defensive scheme and game plan, we will be much better.

So what exactly is his injury and why did he not recover well? Is it something that requires another surgery?

Is it possibly the type of injury that a 30 year old 7 footer just doesn't recover well from?

It was a cyst so no structural damage I would think. He was just not given time to recover from the surgery.

I read this and I thought...nah? It happened before any of the more desirable centers went off the market with higher tags. I kind of doubt it as on purpose but it did set a precedence. Hard to fathom that Kupchak could be that disingenuous.

I do remember a preseason game when Mozgov was with Denver when he was throwing his weight around against us causing foul trouble to our bigs. Hope he has nearly fully recovered...

I hope Walton and get Mozgov to get 10 rebounds a game and a couple blocks. Close off the lane would help. Guarding the block with another guy posting is gone. Need him to know how to guard pick and rolls and the lane.

What Hibbert was supposed to do well. That Lue even mentions it is good. Remains to be seen for a player brought in to be practice fodder for ZUBACCA!!
