After each game, give a vote - the only rules are that you can vote for ONLY ONE person. At season's end I'll tally the votes and we'll award the season Hero. We can add Zero if you want. But I'm all about positive reinforcement.
Davis Idea: it might be better to keep a running total. Probably shouldn't count the pre-season, since the minutes are all screwy. Also, I like the idea of a zero, so we know which players have had the most aggravating games for us fans. Not negative, it's constructive.
Yeah, gonna go with Davis... He and Randle complement each other. He blocks shots while JR rebounds. great stuff
Hero - B. Scott. He made the necessary adjustments during halftime, and the Nuggets went cold, shooting below 40% in the second half. Denver never really looked comfortable playing the "ugly"-type of basketball the Lakers emphasized in training camp.
I'm going with Ellington. Boom! He looked great as an undersized 3 out there with Lin and Clarkson. He was able to bring the ball up the floor, sink open shots, and give the offense a different look. He played great.
Game One (Preseason) Hero: Davis 7 votes Nash 2 Ellington 1 Scott 1 A couple people who couldn't follow directions.
Definitely could give it to a few people, but this is one for guy and to be it was clearly Ed Davis. I knew he could block shot and such but the way he moved and rolled to the basket was real impressive. Kobe is Kobe but last night Davis impressed me the most.
Got to go with Davis as well, although wow, great to see Kobe looking like himself again! Nash played well, Lin dished well, Randle was solid . . . good stuff.
