Interesting observation: NBA got its wish with this CBA. Small market signings & players staying with their original teams.

Doing well: Portland, Orlando, Atlanta, Memphis. Exceptions - Knicks, Lakers, C Bags.

Not doing so well: Dallas, Houston, Miami (Wade?), Chicago.

More money than Riley offered Wade.

Unless KD takes a paycut no way he goes to the clippers now. Maybe he was mind blown because he found out managment was going to offer austin that type of money.

Rockets spent 133 million on Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon....

In other news, I'm glad I'm not a Rockets fan.

    Eric Gordon got 4/53

And Rivers's deal is player option in the 3rd year.

    I know.

Part of me is just happy I was right and we didn't SUPER overpay Mozgov... we just kind of overpaid him. ;)

Like the contract a lot less if there is no option.

Yeah. We discussed this ad nauseum earlier here. It is what it is. Haven't you heard, though? We are going to win 40 games next season, OKC will choke and Westbrook is coming home!

All we need to do is remain patient and allow all these teams to overpay for marginal talent. If I'm Luke I'm selling the young guns on how nobody wants to play with them because they think they suck.

    SO CLOSE. Damn you Dudley!!

You have to sign more players to make this squad a playoff team. There aren't many 2nd-3rd tier players left (if any?) that can move that needle.

Agreed. I've felt like we needed to clean house and bring in some new blood for a while.

From the draft to Luke and even the free agents we managed to sign, the team is better. But when I look at some of the guys other teams managed to sign when we couldn't even get interviews. Yeah, it's just unacceptable to be honest.

Our management and front office issues must be dealt with.

This isn't a playoff team. Hopefully they can crack 30 wins. We will be better but the playoffs are a big long shot.

If Ingram was a year older maybe, but as great as he is gonna be the kid is basically a senior graduating from high school. The more I think about it the more I'm tempering my expectations. This team is so young and they really haven't had an opportunity to play together.

    I'm sticking with 32-50.

Yes. 33-35 wins. One more impact player and we could potentially make a run at the 8th seed

No Gordon for the Knicks, I wonder if they go hard at Wade now?

If russell, randle, ingram and clarkson are what we all hope they will be, they will bust their butts this summer and all improve their game.
Portland made the playoffs and they weren't exactly star studded. If luke is as good as I think he is, this team will be building chemistry early and
racking up wins. Young and new teams like this with talent tend to start slow and finish strong once everyone understand their role. Hopefully
they figure that out early and start showcasing their talent. Couple injuries at the bottom of the west and this team can sneak in. They watch tv
and hear what everyone is saying. "nobody wants to play in LA" "thats a 17 win team, nobody wants to go" I think they will all have a chip on their shoulder to prove people wrong. Kobe is gone and its on them now. They like each other and are friends. I believe they will collectively be a little pissed off about all this and ball it up. Im ready for november 1st.

Unfortunately they're all gone. We don't have any assets to get one via trade besides our young guys.

That's a little different. Stotts was already in like his third or fourth year as coach and Lillard was already a rising star in the league. Because of Byron our kids haven't even really got a chance to get started yet. I think Russell can be as good as Lillard, but not by next year. It'll take three years. Same for Ingram.
