Wade 20 mil per for 3 years (last a player option). Deng 15 mil per for 4 years (last a team option).
Gasol 13 mil per for 2 years (player option 2nd).

Use Wade to recruit Paul or Westbrook next year. Let those great, unselfish vets groom the kids.

    That work? : )

Boy the Knicks sure are being mentioned a lot in talks with some quality players. While it's crickets in Lakerland...

The Knicks have mostly overpaid for over the hill players.

They're over the hill veterans still have a lot of respect amongst their peers. Taking contracts into account, would you rather have their current roster or ours?

Our future is brighter, but they have proven veterans even if they're past their prime. Entirely different situations for free agents.

I'm wondering if we can finagle our way to have two max-contracts next year; double our win total, two max-spots, hmmm

They're in contention for the 2011 championship.

    Cp2, fa, Durant, biff, Jordan

That's a good starting 5 but no depth for the bench

Everyone (except for our meetings) is always blown away by them.

Heck even Carmelo was "blown away" by our meeting a few years ago.

KD would be a fool to do that. Paul and Griffin are always injured and Jordan isn't even better than Adams. He's got a bonafide superstar on his team that was a game away from beating a 73 win team.

We blew away Mosgov; we didn't even need an in-person meeting.:Laugh:

He heard Luuke's d e e p voice on the phone. :Magic Brows:

Speaking of which, I really expected him to be a great asset in these "meetings" sitting across the table from FAs. Never dreamed we wouldn't have any.

I'd rather have our roster. Rose is an injury waiting to happen, Noah is not the same player, Melo is on the decline. Just sucks to hear their name mentioned with many free agents, especially Courtney Lee, who we could use.

Gotta lay off that BSPropaganda. Stop with the end of the world proclamations because we didn't get meetings with Whiteside, Horford, Durant, etc.

Look at it this way. You're choosing between jobs at Company A & Company B. Company A is a startup with young, inexperienced employees and since you have a strong resume they want to bring you in at a nice salary so you can help the youngins develop and provide some solid production. Company B is an established company with experienced workers and proven ability. You'll share the work load with others and in fact you joining the company can bring it over the top and make it the best company in the industry.

It isn't hard for me to choose Company B. Why would it be any different with NBA players?

We have some proving to do. Look at Portland - lost Aldridge and still scrapped together to make the playoffs and perform well. Coincidence they got so many meetings this summer? No it's because FAs saw that they had a successful core in place and that if they joined Portland they could help take them to the next level. We just won 17 games guys!

[We have had no mention with anyone besides Ryan Anderson today. Either no one cares about our money or Mitch is keeping a tight ship. Most likely the first one.
