He's also got about a quarter of the mileage on Al Jefferson. I like Al, but he doesn't fit he modern NBA and he's a backup big man now. Heck he doesn't even fit what Indy wants to do. It's a weird signing.

I hope this happens so much. LeBron will never win a title again and our kids will be allowed to develop as that team ages and we'll have an excuse for not winning anything for years and years to come.

Again the disagreement is mainly over the $ dished out, not the player themselves....we still need wing defenders, an adequate bench to keep up the high octane offense that Luke Will run, need flexibility for all those things now and for the future...Mozgov's DEAL handicaps that.

Agree. He's a better version of what Boozer was for us. Not a terrible signing, but we can certainly do better and we did.

Every team with a big free agent is giving them 5 years, $130-$140 million, the NBA has gone insane. At these rates LeBron is worth 50 mil per, Curry and Durant are worth 45 or so, Westbrook close to to that. What's next, vet minimum becomes 5 mil per and MLE goes to 10?

Mosgov is a better fit for us. Al can still post up, but he has to have the ball in the post to have any impact at all. Mosgov showed in Cleveland that he can be effective as part of an offense not built around him. On the defensive side it's Mosgov all day over Jefferson. It's critical that we have someone behind Randle that can play some D. Jefferson + Randle on D would have been a disaster.

I understand where you're coming from. I hate seeing all these guys get this kind of money because it's absurd some of the numbers we're seeing. However given what the cap number is I don't think it's a bad deal.

There are still a number of solid veterans available. There's Deng, Parsons, Bazemore, Dudley, Williams, Affalo, and plenty more I'm sure. We'll get someone.

Yup, I agree. 4 years is just too much at $16 /yr.

We still have at least 30 million to spend. That's enough for two quality wings. We have plenty of money.

The cap jumps again next season at least 13 million. We'll have money then too. Williams will be an expiring contract and Mozgov's deal will be movable as well. There will be plenty of money.

In a cruel twist actually the MLE and minimum and rookie deals are unaffected by the cap increase. Kind of a bummer for minimum level guys.

but TIME, Mosgov + Randle is already a disaster on offense. Neither of them can shoot a lick, how are we gonna run Luke's offense?

Unless Lakers hoping Randle turns into Draymond Green...which would be a huge long shot

It's not gonna be a four year deal. It's three years. In two years Mozgov will be an expiring contract.

Not that long actually offensively. Defensively yeah that's another story. All Randle needs is a catch and shoot three which is not out of the question.

Besides, there's ways to space the floor without three point shooters. Mozgov can knock down a mid-range jumper, Ingram and Clarkson and Russell are all capable outside shooters. How many shooters are in the Spurs starting lineup?

I don't understand why people keep acting like there with this great stretch 5 that would've been a good fit with Randle offensively. Whiteside, Biyumbo, even trading for someone like Bogut all hurt spacing. The only one that would've helped floor spacing was Horford and he's not coming.

I hope we can get Harkless AND Turner. Would be a decent off-season for me. I think both those guys will give us a lot of different looks...in comparison thats like GSW's duo of Livingston/Barnes
