    1. At 15 million I think you'll find he's actually going to be a bargain in the new CBA. Seriously.

    2. Numbers are almost meaningless. Don't look at the total, but think of it as a percentage. A 15 million dollar deal in the new CBA is about 11 million in the old. Overpaying still? Sure, but we knew we were going to have to overpay anyway. A big at that price is still a big we can use and we don't necessarily have to start him.

    3. We still have 50 million dollars left. Let's try to be patient. I know Mozgov is far from the sexy play (he was not high on my list at all and hearing he was our first call was certainly disappointing) but there's plenty of time left in this game.

    If we commit 34 million to Mozgov and Biyombo, I'm gonna cry. If Black ends up playing more than Mozgov, I will also cry.

    Why? Mozgov started and played backup on several very good teams. He is certainly a servicable center in the NBA, in the same 1st big of the bench sense. He is also a high-character guy.

    If Black is starting over him - that must mean he is better than him. Which means we have another pretty good young player on our hands.

    10 million is still overpaying for Mozgov. I know he played great for the Cavaliers last year. Tough season coming off injury. I have no problem signing him, but paying him that much for that long of a contract is asinine.

    Joking aside, Next year there will be a lot more quality free agents than this year. Its very important for this team to show growth next year. Ingram needs to show flashes of brilliance and russell/randle/clarkson need to show significant improvement. If this team wins 30-32 game, I can see a decent player looking at the lakers and thinking "i can be the missing they are missing". We only won 17 games...

    I think Mosgov was our first call so that we could get our center rotation out of the way with TIMMAY & Black..

    Now, we got one need taken care of, & we can really get in & get our hands dirty with Max money Wing Players...

    We still have close to $50Mil

    10 is too much?

    1. We just payed Roy 18
    2. 10 was the price tag for borderline starter like Kantor/Asik types just last season.
    3. Why do you care about the money we HAVE to spend and have another 50mil of.

    Paying a back up center 65 million, who got 4 min a game in the playoffs, is a travesty. This is TERRIBLE! 2 year contract, ok, i get it. But 4 f***ing years?!!! 16.5 a year for a back up center?!!!

    Because it's long term.

    When the young core finally develops enough to win some games and attract free agents, how are you going to feel when 33 year old Mozgov's $17 million is preventing us from getting a piece that would attract a superstar free agent?
