By the way, on this Durant situation; the Clippers would have to jump through hoops to sign him and Durant in some scenarios, KD would have to forego some salary to play with the Clippers. It seems like a longshot, but KD can give 'little brother' a meeting instead of showing 'big brother' some freaking respect? Screw him. Yeah, I'm an admitted homer, but that just totally pisses me off.

Interestingly we could steal Courtney Lee AND Nicolas Batum... I'm not sure what they do either. If I were them I pay for Batum because why the heck not? He's their 2nd best player. If they're not going to though, I'll gladly do it. He would be a terrific fit in the new offense. He can pass, shoot, and defend. What more could we ask for? Screw the price, we need those kinds of players.

What about this: GS is trying to dump Bogut. We could sign Batum (26.6), Horford (26.6), and take Bogut+a pick (11). I believe that'd get us right to the cap. It'd also help us preserve about 25 million for next summer. We'd be a Lou Williams contract dump away from being able to offer Westbrook a max deal.

Speaking of...ugh! I hate the C Bags, Spurs, and Clippers. All with a passion.

That's what I've been saying! It doesn't make any effing sense to meet with them. Meeting with the Clippers and not us is a slap in the face. Now would that preclude us from going after him in the future? Of course not. We'll still pursue him, but it's still an unprofessional and frankly stupid move. Not seeing us is fine, but why then visit the Clippers? They'd have to get rid of Griffin and probably Reddick to get Durant, so then... what? Paul + DeAndre is better than OKC? How so? And how long does Paul even last?

It's an insult and the proud competitor in me doesn't want Durant right now because I want to beat him to show him how wrong he is. The rational side knows that's not likely to happen any time soon and would still like to sign him... a lot... but still! Insulting nonetheless.

I'm trying not to think about the KD situation at all and I"m going to fully blame Stephen A Smith for jinxing us. I bet KD is doing this on purpose to tick off Stephen A, who swore by his sources that KD was going to the Lakers. That sooooo seems like a thing that KD would do. I don't blame him for meeting wit the C's....quite frankly, they are better than us because they had a better coach than we did last year. If we had a better coach, maybe our talent would be further along, and maybe we don't totally suck all of last year. Boston had the perfect storm though. I have to hand it to their management for getting Brad Stevens....but I truly believe we have our own version of Brad Stevens with Luke in the fold....and NEXT summer, we will be in the C Bags position and everybody will be wondering "Man how are they meeting with the Lakers they're not that much better than our team!"

As far as meeting with the Clippers? Again....they are just better than us right now. We can't complain about that. Now if we go out and sign Horford, or Whiteside, and maybe get a dump candidate or another supporting player at 10M....we still have one slot left for KD. Maybe at that point, we say to KD, hey, come meet with us...we got Horford (or Whiteside), and we can trade one of our young guys for Jimmy Butler....would you join us if we did that? Say yes or no by midnight tonight. Bam. (Ok that's a stretch but you get where I'm going with this).

The Lakers need to lock down some guys before we can pitch to KD. I think that's the bottom line.

It's stupid to not at least listen to the Lakers, touch bases. Even ESPN people were saying this all day. Wilbon and Kornheisher said you at least meet with us now to hear our plan for next offseason if he's signing a 1+1 in OKC. They also said you meet with us because we have 60 mil and can say sign here, you get the max, and we have a ton of money so go pick a partner and we'll sign them too. They even through out maybe half jokingly, call up LeBron and see if he wants to join you in LA, then come here and tell the Lakers to trade away some of our youth for vets, get instantly better. I don't think we are his best option, I'm not delusional, but to not even have little meeting with us and hear us out, I agree with Ramona Shelburne, disrespectful and doesn't really make sense. We may not be appealing this second, but that could change very fast with 60 mil to spend.

I didn't get the Rose move before, but now it makes more sense. Rose, Melo, Porzingis, Noah, start of a very good team.

Yes, sort of. This is when all the meetings can start happening but decisions and signings will happen from Friday-the first week of July.

The Vertical with Wojo and his crew are doing a special when Free Agency opens tomorrow at 9pm pct. Similar to what they did with the draft.

Really looking forward to tuning into that.

I can't say it enough but Byron really really screwed us for free agency. He made us look about as unattractive as we could have ever looked....and even after getting Luke and drafting Ingram...it didn't really move the needle in terms of us looking attractive. That's how bad Byron screwed us....to the point where KD won't even meet with us.

That team is very good. In 2011. You add Wade, 2010.

Byron was a buttplug of nothingness in everything the Lakers did. Players care about two things, 1. Money 2. Winning. Lakers for 20 years didnt have money or weren't winning. Lakers never had a track record of getting big time free agents in their prime. Shaq is the only one. Everyone else has been a trade or drafted.
