http://sports.yahoo.com/news/version-iv--the-vertical-s-2016-nba-mock-draft-160519135.html Interesting tidbit from The Vertical/DraftExpress:
That's a good find. I can't wait until we officially add him. Then, onto free agency where I expect to make some noise.
Well... crap. We screwed Philly last year picking Russell What if they go with Ingram... and we pass on Ben drafting Bender or Hield. C Bags would j*** their pants
Not happening, though I know you're not serious. Simmons ..... even with his Media Big Head already in place is going to be AMAZING. Book it. Yeah yeah not much conversation about him out there yet but My eye test says he's going to be really good.
Can't wait to watching this when I get home. Except I know after watching it I'm going to want him on the Lakers even more and I'll be getting nervous again because Philly could still ruin our plans and future with Ingram.
Do what I did and the angst goes immediately away. Watch Ben Simmons clips. Guaranteed. Give them health..... both future HOF. Jerry West says "Hello" after watching Kobe work out at 17 years of age for 15 minutes. Brandon Ingram BTW is far along the path already in the Kobe Bryant academy of polished footwork. Though he's skinny. So go watch Ben hitting the heavy bag at 6'11" of "next LBJ" type physicality. It's all awesome.
Saw Brandon Ingram eating in NYC today. He was with Jamal Murray I believe. Crazy how much of a "kid" he still is, so much room to still grow into his body.
In an appearance on Sportscenter (as transcribed by James Herbert of CBS Sports), ESPN’s Chad Ford wonders if the Lakers aren’t considering other options with the second pick: “I think we all assume that Ingram’s going to be the guy at No. 2, but they’ve brought in Marquese Chriss, they’ve taken a long look at him,” Ford said in a SportsCenter appearance. “They’ve brought in Dragan Bender, Jaylen Brown, and while I still believe that it will be Ingram at No. 2, the Lakers have explored other options. And again I think the concern with Ingram is his lack of strength and how NBA-ready he’s going to be because of that.” Ford does concede that Ingram is still the likely choice, but also brings up another scenario that he considers ‘more likely’ in the Lakers potentially trading D’Angelo Russell for another top-5 pick: “I think more likely the Lakers are trying to pick up another pick in this draft in the top five and the guy that they have that they can shop is D’Angelo Russell, a guy who was their No. 2 pick in the draft last year but burned some bridges in the locker room.” Russell surely didn’t endear himself to the locker room or many Lakers fans with the Nick Young video scandal that popped up late in the season. Even still, at only 20 years old and with obvious potential, it would seem to be surprising if the Lakers chose to give up on him so soon. That being said, a top-5 pick in the draft may be worth considering as there are a number of potential options. The Lakers could replace Russell at point guard with someone like Kris Dunn, or add a big man like Chriss or Bender. As the draft nears, the rumors surrounding the Lakers continue to heat up and it is anyone’s guess as to exactly what the Lakers will wind up doing.
He's the only one who knows they've interviewed Chriss? Nobody else is reporting this. Ford is dumb. Not to mention he's 100% speculating on trading up into the draft. There's absolutely zero evidence, rumors, facts or anything else based on that conjecture. F*** I don't know how he has a job. I can do what he does easily and better.
Maybe part of the reason we're bringing in all these other guys is because we want to portray concerns with Ingram just to make sure Philadelphia doesn't take him
