Because it doesn't belong to Brandon Ingram.

Hopefully we get Zhou Qi at number 32...he needs to fall there. nice touch, great length, very mobile but lacks strength.

Give me Ingram with #2 and I can accept a bag of chips at #32.

The 32nd pick certainly is valuable but the #2 pick can be a franchise-altering move...the stakes are very high.

Hopefully, we made the right pick last year, too. But these youngsters need time to develop.

Draftexpress has maker and zimmerman dropping to 2nd rd. I like Zimmerman over Maker, to me has more legit basketball skills. Maker is mostly hype and mix tape highlights, its gons tame a long time and a lot of development before hes even a serviceable backup.

I think we did....i don't care bout ok4 scoring and considering phi is desperately shopping him says alot bout him. Porzingis would've been nice but its really hindsight stuff, i think most of us would've felt like those knick fans when his name was called @ 4th but even worse for us @2

OK there is some subliminal number in my head which kicks in of times that I hear a guy's name mentioned with respect to possibly being a Laker.

Off to youtube in awhile to check him out. Will see if my eye test agrees with your eye test. ;)

    Ha..
Seriously though. Maybe I'm gullible or just don't know the tell tale signs of a "fake account"
Seems to me that there are many personal posts including selfies & behind the scenes pics, etc.
Has links to his Instagram & Twitter accounts.
If it's a fake account, someone is sure going out of their way to troll Ingram..

Just curious what makes you think it's fake..
I'm not arguing that it is or isn't.. Just asking the question.

This young man is a talent. No way the Lakers can pass on him right?

I believe Ingram's agent said it was. He came out shortly after the "I like LA" picture was posted.

It could be real, could be someone close to Ingram, who knows? But if his agent says it's fake we gotta go with that for now.

Yeah no kidding. He has maybe better footwork already, certainly back to the basket, than anyone on our team now with Russell close, now that Kobe's retired. And he's got that alpha in him. He tea bagged the hell out of that one dude as he leaped over him from a distance with his insane length for that 2 handed jam. One handed jam capable. Fundamentals. Sweet, sweet stroke and can pass the ball.

Hearing rumblings on Twitter that the 76ers are leaning towards Ingram after a good workout today and a dinner last night with team executives and even some of their young core. Compounded by the fact that Simmons has refused to workout for them. Not sure how legit the news is.

But just in case, can anyone try to find the most hype Simmons highlight video? I'm really having a hard time getting myself excited for him.

Saw that too. Comes across a lot more like speculation than an actual "scoop" being reported. I'd still put the odds at 80-20 that Philly takes Simmons.

Thing is when you watch video on Simmons and you see that insane explosiveness in the open court, finishing, passing and feel for the game it puts a smile on your face too and you start thinking how skinny Ingram is. I'm sure he's going to be special too and yeah he needs a better J as well but wow what a rotation could be figured out from Luuke coming from so many similarly multi-talented pieces up there. I've stopped worrying.
