Unfortunately, not half the rook Ibaka was. Cornelie will need a bit of time to become a contributor, and I think he's a very different player from Ibaka. I confess I've only watched clips of him, mind you, but I don't see that comparison. I'd be happy to land him, but I think he needs to hit the weight room and get some D-league time.
Guys Brandon Ingram posted a pic of himself in lakers jersey on his fb page!!!! http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/...rs-brandon-ingram-posts-jersey-photo-facebook
That's actually the second picture of him in a lakers jersey he posted. He posted this photo back on April 28 before the lottery. So he really does want to be a Laker! http://bit.ly/1rj9BU4
That makes me feel a little better. He was so diplomatic at the workout I wasn't so sure he preferred the Lakers.... Every rookie should want to come to the Lakers
Lol, I love this guy already. Of course he'd prefer LA to Philly, but I can't recall other top draft picks doing this in recent times, I can't imagine it wasn't agent-approved. Trying hard not to be bummed if he goes 1 though, so still trying not to get too excited one way or the other.
I'm trying to figure out the play here because like you said if his agent wasn't okay with this, it'd be pulled already. I mean it doesn't help his value does it? I can't imagine Philly seeing this and thinking he'd be so excited to go to them instead. It doesn't really hurt his value either because he's not falling past us anyway. Seems like he and Simmons know they're going 1 and 2 at this point. Subtlety be damned.
I prefer ingram over simmons as well....Simmons will need to be ball dominant to be effective and the fact that hes not a good shooter to boot makes its an even worse combination. That is not to say Simmons wouldn't put up better stats though
Where's sirron? This is such a great "Jack" maybe he would consider putting it into his esteemed library?
It's just meant to be. The draft is a formality at this point, it just makes too much sense with Simmons to Philly and Ingram to us.
The one thing I take away from it is what has be assumed all along, Simmons is pretty much guaranteed to go number 1. Odd timing to do it before his Sixer workout though.
