Ingram is the better fit for this team. Simmons might be a better Odom, which is a fine player but a less good fit with current personnel.
My early feeling is that I prefer Ingram... but its a great day to be a Laker fan, Simmons or Ingram!
I know you're not supposed to mix drinks. Can mixing highlights of two future beasts in the League make you sick? Simmons. Ingram. Ingram. Simmons. Hell I don't care .... have slept by the toilet before.
Not saying at all that he is Durant, but I watched as much of Durant as I could when he was in college and Ingram looks a ton like him. They move so similarly, both so skilled with that crazy length.
this is pretty much the easiest choice any team could ask for in a draft we take whoever the sixers don't
I prefer ingram but im pretty sure thats who the sixers will take. They already have Noel, okafor and embiid. Why draft another big, that makes no sense.... Oh wait, its the sixers.
I have a feeling we end up with Simmons. Ingram makes too much sense for them. He'll probably end up being the best player in the draft. With that said, it's a good day. Worst case is we get a very good player who isn't as good as the "other guy". That's still a W for us.
It's weird because Ingram is the better fit for both the Sixers and the Lakers....but Simmons might still be the best overall player in this draft. Either way, a great great day for the Lakers. We're on our way to becoming relevant again guys.
DraftExpress did a great profile on how they compare. http://www.draftexpress.com/article...pares-With-Kevin-Durant-At-The-Same-Age-5418/ Ingram is a close approximation, but he's not quite Durant. He never showed that step-on-your-throat instinct to take over games that Durant has. He isn't the same kind of pure scorer that Durant is. He does however have a better feel for passing the ball already and in some ways is a better shooter than Durant. Durant was also a better athlete and (if you can believe it) was bigger than Ingram in college. Ingram is extraordinarily thin. I don't see a ton of red flags in his mechanics, but a player that thin can always have issues with injury. I love Ingram as a prospect.
Again, we have won the off season. I prefer Ingram for all the reasons mentioned by several already. But, Simmons is friends with DLo, is the better pure athlete, better passer, has a better feel for the game, more explosive, and has a more NBA ready build. In other words, we can't lose.
