That was my first thought too. Kurt Warner did say that it was a good move. Not keen on Wentz but Goff is pro-ready. Apparently Rams brass feel he could be another Matt Ryan situation...

 

They better feel like he's another Eli Manning in terms of effectiveness. This is a huge, stupid chance to take. It's not like their team is perfect everywhere else and they didn't make any big moves in FA.

@pound4pound : me 2. Norman had a breakout year but it was due to their coverage schemes if I'm correct which did not require too much man to man.

 

Norman with Washington... One less matter Raiders will deal with playing Carolina during the regular season.

 

Statistically, he was far and away the best CB last season, but it was in a scheme that was designed to let him shine like that. I can't guarantee that we could replicate that here, and at $15M a season, I am happy to look for other options.

 

Thursday is so near... Currently reading "Badasses: John Madden's Oakland Raiders". Good stuff so far.

 

I'm so saturated with these mock drafts that I am really looking forward to the real thing to get it over with. Some are talking another slot receiver but we already have Seth Roberts. DL, Safety, Corner, Inside LB... All in that order.

 

Honestly, I'm not sure what's best for us at that first round position, which is why I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade back and pick up another second and fourth or something like that.

 

The Browns did the same thing. Build through multiple picks is not a risky move at all...

 

So the long awaited talent guru Mayock mock draft has us picking... Myles Jack? He is citing medical reports scaring teams off. Mayock mentions of how there could be a second procedure. I don't know how I feel about this but in reality I don't see this happening.

 

I think it's not unlikely. We just brought him in for a two or three hour workout. And some are saying his knee is fine as is. Some are saying the procedure is necessary now. Some are saying it will only limit his longevity. Scary first round pick.

 

Boss...your guess is as good as mine, T-Rod, Puff and Cube. My take is that it will be a corner [Hargreaves or Jackson] or an ILB [Ragland].
