    - Del Rio segment was vanilla though he did mention that he often needed to make sure Carr did not dwell on his mistakes.
    - So they had a stat of who has the most TDs in a first two year span. Dan "Isotoner Gloves" Marino was numero uno. Carr is second? What!?
    - Michael Robinson picked the Silver and Black to win the AFC West. Cautiously optimistic me... LT picked the Chiefs.
    - Tomorrow's NFL Access show, the crew will go into what they think what the Raider war room is going to be like.
    - AFC West related... No Kaepernick to Denver. At least for now... Mile High hot dog vendors happy with Sanchez.

    Raiders adding another top FA - Smith alone is awesome, but if we add Nelson, too, that's another top 30 FA.

    McKenzie is shrewd and is doing it the right way. Add veterans at or a bit past their prime to keep the team competitive but use the draft for eventual replacements. He's been an astute talent evaluator.

    Update: being reported that Nelson is set to join. Receivers will soon get The Full Nelson.

    Free agent S Reggie Nelson is expected to sign with the Raiders on Tuesday.

    Nelson dined with DC Ken Norton and DBs coach Marcus Robertson Monday night, and he is expected in for a physical Tuesday. Nelson's age -- 33 in September -- torpedoed his market, but he remained one of the better free safeties in the league last season. He will be yet another good addition for an organization quietly building one of the better rosters in football. Oakland should be a trendy playoff pick this season.

    Goodness. He leveled him. We have some serious dudes on both sides of the ball now.

    Added Andrew East, Long Snapper. I don't know that he's going to force out Condo - no clue. Maybe just for depth.

    Yep...THAT was a de-cleater as they call it back in the day.

    Depth plus East can play now while Condo rehabs. I don't want to ever see that nightmare against San Diego when we had no long snapper. Then again JaMarcus Russell was also our QB so every imaginable disaster all moot. Biggest bust since Ryan Leaf...

    NFL Path To The Draft sez Conklin for the number one pick, some linebacker from OU Perry and another wide-out whose last name is also Cooper. The other analyst talked of a corner Jackson from Utah [?], a safety and a wide-out. All was a blur... Charles Davis talked of how IF Elliott falls to 14, McKenzie should run like hell to the podium and announce himself Oakland is taking him. Crazy funny...

    NFL Access had the Top 5 Buzzer Beaters in History after last night's 'Nova-North Carolina Final. #3 was The Holy Roller. Can never get enough of Bill King's commentary during that crazed sequence while some dude was laughing hysterically in the background...

    In a recent interview Nelson addresses Mark Davis as Mr. Davis. [Grin] Mark is now getting the same reverence as his late father? :cool:

    All this assumptions that Nelson and Del Rio had a bad relationship is just fallacy. Then again 2 years at $12 mil doesn't hurt the cause either.
