He looks fantastic, Marvel(Disney side) seems to get every casting choice right.

Benedict Cumberbatch can do it all, no bad performance that I can recall.

His performance as "All" in Zoolander is incredibly creepy... which I'm pretty sure is what he was going for.

This movie has some wild potential. The cast is fantastic, the story is ambitious, and "magic" is just something we haven't quite seen from superheroes so far. Even Thor is explained as science that we humans just haven't figured out yet or something like that. This is just magic. I'm very excited but a bit nervous about the movie. I have great faith in Marvel Studios though. They've earned that.

Benedict Cumberbatch in a comic store, dressed as Doctor Strange, straight from filming

Got to love when an actor loves the role he's in.

I think Bernthal did the same thing when he was prepping for Punisher.

Rare when there is a picture of Benedict Cumberbatch and he isn't the best actor in the picture. Movies with casting like this are typically Oscar bait films, not superhero movies.

Those two AND Tilda Swinton AND Mads Mikkelson AND Rachel McAdams? I mean c'mon now. That's a pretty fantastic cast. This is their strangest (oops pun) movie attempt and I was very nervous about it. The fact that they roped in actors of this caliber has me much less worried and much more excited. This movie should be a beast.

Exactly. This is an Oscar ensemble cast.

Powerhouse casting. Cumberbatch looks superb in the role. I can't wait for this one!

They finished filming just a few days ago so I wonder how much we'll see. The effects won't be close to finished.

Still, that's exciting! That's easily their most ambitious movie to date. I'm hoping for big things.

One Batch, Two Batch: Fans Have Started A Petition To Give A Certain Heavily Armed Vigilante His Own Series

There’s a new player in Hell’s Kitchen, and he’s not one to go light on those deserving of a little punishment.

By now, most fans have already powered their way through the downright explosive second season of Marvel’s Netflixseries Daredevil at least once, meaning they’re already well-acquainted with the heavily-armed anti-hero, the Punisher.

Fans of Frank Castle were pretty impressed with Jon Bernthal’s take on the iconic character, so much so that several of them are calling for the character to get his very own solo series.

Marvel and Netflix have slowly but surely been assembling the Defenders on the cyber screen. Marvel’s original plan included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, however considering how successful the online series have been so far it would not seem so unrealistic for Marvel to bring the gun-toting character back for a few more rounds.

While Marvel seems to have no issue giving the fans what they want, a couple very dedicated fans have taken it upon themselves to create a petition for Castle to get his own series.

    Here Comes The Punisher
    [IMG]

SPOILERS! Despite his best efforts, Punisher survived his run in with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and wandered off into the night, meaning that the character is definitely still around, still very well-armed and could come back wheneverMarvel sees fit.

Since it was announced that The Walking Dead star would be taking on the role, Bernthal has not been shy about his excitement over bringing Punisher to life, and has even expressed interest in returning to the role.

“This guy is very much burned into my heart and soul. I think about him all the time. And I look at it the same way Frank would look at it. I’m a soldier, man. If they call on me, I’ll stand to attention and I’ll be ready.”

You can watch the Punisher in action during second season of Daredevil out on Netflix now.

He was clearly set up to support his own! And I loved Bernthal. I think he'd... kill... that series on his own... Get it? :D I'll stop.

I hope after they introduce Cage and Iron Fist, they combine those two with Jessica Jones and call it "Heroes for Hire". Then you have 1-2 open slots where you can make Punisher and/or a Blade series. Maybe a Moon Knight series?

From what I've read about Moon Knight, he'd be a great in this world. But they're doing Defenders. It's already been announced. Not sure they would be able to do two separate "team ups" using the same characters.

Defenders is a 6-10 mini arc that combines all the characters including Daredevil.

My idea follows the comics where Luke Cage and Danny Rand are best friends and are heroes that you can literally hire to help you out. They have a new comic out right now actually. Jessica Jones is a little different. She eventually marries and has a kid with Cage but I feel like they're more interested in giving her some of her own arc. So probably just Danny and Luke for Heroes for Hire, but that'd still open up a slot for another show.

Punisher is setup already. Moon Knight IS a perfect fit. They've got a teensy bit of groundwork now from Daredevil season 2 for Blade.

True. Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't Moon Knight sort of like Marvel's version of Batman?

He does get that comparison a LOT but I think Daredevil is closer in terms of ideology. However Moon Knight is also quite rich and fights crime at night so yeah I can see that comparison. I don't know a ton of Moon Knight stuff but he does where whire because he likes to let the enemy know he's coming.

That Comic Book store guy might be responsible for him getting the Punisher right.

    Thanks Comic Book store guy!!!
