Wanted to point out like with Nance, Huertas gave his all tonight, 6 assists, did his job. Again, not my first choice as backup pg next season, but I am not upset if he is brought back at all. He redeemed himself the last part of this season.
Another guy Boron misused. Because of his chubby for Lou Williams. Getting Huertas for backup PG was why Mitch did it and Scott just wouldn't earlier.
Huertas, you played well toward the end of last season, but I still think you're very limited. I don't want back...
I wouldn't mind seeing Marcelo back next year at all. I was down on him mid-season, but he bounced back and showed us a lot the second half of the year. Yes, his defense is bad, and at times he forces the issue and gets TO's on offense, but I like his energy and passing out there.
Welcome back Marcelo. I like this move. He's an okay backup point guard as he showed. Certainly like that we upgraded that spot, but as a third stringer? He's just fine. I like Marcelo. His defense sucks and he can't or won't shoot, but he really understands how to initiate things offensively, excellent passer, really understands the team concept.
Cool. Won't be playing much but he's as good a third stronger as we can get. Seems like a good guy who should continue imparting some good knowledge in practice.
Meh, I'm fine with it if he's an emergency guard, I guess we plan to play Russ and Calderon at point, maybe JC if needed. Would have liked to see a more athletic guard added, for defense if possible, maybe that's still possible.
