3 episodes in, plan on bingeing the rest of the episode tonight. Shane was the perfect cast as Punisher. Netflix does such an awesome job with their shows and with 13 episodes things pick up right away and the ball just keeps rolling and rolling. Can't wait to watch the rest.
Oh please finish faster! DD Season 2 might not be as good as Season 1, but it's still easily Marvel's best product and it's certainly better than Batman vs. Superman. Punisher completely steals this season even though Elektra is pretty great too.
Finally finished Daredevil season 2. Not as good as season 1 but it was still great to watch. Great acting all around, good story telling and some of the best fight scenes and action sequences. Best comic book show out there right now. It started off so quick with the introduction of Punisher, Shane plays a great Frank Castle and liked that little Kingpin arc they threw in there. Honestly feel like the first half of this season was the intro/pilot for Punisher's own show. Had some reservations about how they were going to handle Electra but they did her great. Theres great chemistry between Matt and her. And once ninjas became involved, the fight scenes stepped up a notch. Also really like how to portray DD's other senses. I do feel like season 2 was suppose to be mostly Electra and adding in the Punisher came later down the line of production. I wish there was more synergy between both story lines. Nice to see DD finally get's his crazy staff, Punisher rocking the skull and Electra with her costume and sais. Can't wait to see what else this Netflix/Marvel world has in store.
Yeah it felt like they saw Jon Bernthal's Punisher and said, "Holy crap this is a jackpot" and made him more of a character. To be fair I LOVED his Punisher. Got off to a great start with him and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they gave him his own show. There's definitely some issues with the connection between Punisher and Elektra. I wished there was more cohesion there. I think Daredevil Season One is better than Two, but it's kind of like an album right? The first album gets to take a while and so they can perfect it, but the second season literally doesn't have the time to be perfect because they've got strict deadlines. For what it was? I thought it was tremendous. If Season One is 9/10 or 10/10 for a tv show, this one is a 8.5/10 or 9/10, you know?
Yup, I will agree with those scores. Besides the main "super powered" cast, Karen and Foggy were written very well too. There were instances where I thought they were going to write Karen into an annoying character but it didn't happen. But there is one thing that's bothering me, how does a blind man use a touch screen phone?!
He actually just mashes the screen hoping he hit the right button. I thought Foggy was fantastic. He was my weak point in Season One, but in Season Two I thought he was brilliant.
JJ release date hasn't been decided yet because of the Defenders. They've got to team up soon, right? Agents of Shield is on right now and it's pretty good. The next releases are: May- Civil War September- Luke Cage (Netflix) November- Doctor Strange Some time early next year we'll get Iron Fist. Then it's up in the air whether or not we're getting JJ Season 2 next fall or Defenders next fall.
New JJ hasn't been determined yet. Agents of Shield is on right now! Season 3! It's been pretty solid as far as ABC shows go. Next Marvel products up: May- Civil War September- Luke Cage November- Dr. Strange 2017- Some time in Spring- Agent Carter OR Damage Control OR Marvel's Most Wanted (Mockingbird Spin-off) Some time in Spring 2017- Iron Fist May- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 July- Spider-Man (in partnership with Sony) September- Agents of Shield Season 4 Some time in Fall- Jessica Jones Season 2 OR The Defenders November- Thor: Ragnarok There's also a John Ridley Marvel show in production that no one knows anything about. There's also a chance that The Defenders team up AND Jessica Jones comes next year, but it'd mean a lot of timing goes right.
No problem! Season Three has been solid. If you don't like cheesy, it's not for you. This is the lighter side of Marvel for sure.
Yeah, I'm surprised no one had brought up the new season of Shield. It's been really good. I love that show
Correct. The last episode with the shots was a bit silly for me, but I understand it. It's tough having people leave a show like that.
My wife was tearing up at the shots part, and I was laughing at the gigantic helping of cheese it was providing. She was asking what's the matter with me? Glad I'm not the only one who couldn't take that seriously.
I mean I got the emotionalness of the ACTORS, but the characters? These characters are super spies who see some crazy stuff and they're tearing up like that? C'mon...
