Not really upset at this loss. This game typifies the season so far, almost there but juuuust can't finish the game off. This game was absolutely there for the taking. That play where Jordan shot that brick, I just knew it wasn't going in. That's a situation where Lin has got to be aggressive and try to get to the basket, draw some defenders and kick to better shooters. That was not a good play at all. But at least this team is fighting and staying competitive.

They are trying but at this point I'm going to call out Byron. Draw some better plays when it matters man, and stop over playing Kobe.

Byron just said that the Hill shot was all on him. He told Lin to run a certain play but he wasn't clear enough when he told him and he said he should've also given a visual signal.

Lin came out at around the 4:23 mark when we were down by 7, but we had clearly established a rhythm at that point, IMO, offensively; I would have liked to see Scott play him longer in that 3rd quarter....Lin needs to finish with 39-40 minutes because when Price comes in there is a noticeable drop-off. Refs missing calls; the obvious one on Wes, Kobe getting hit; no calls, etc, and the Hill shot...at least Byron took the blame on that one.

Ugh. Randle and Young are really missed on the 2nd unit. I think the starting 5 can hang around but the reserves just get obliterated.

Just heard it. I still feel a bit uneasy to hear him say it was his fault. Byron, my man, you're the coach. Please be clear when you're in huddles so this won't happen again.

Well that explains it. Hill has got to make a better decision in that situation. If your shot is not going in, you have no business taking that shot. Get it back to a ball handler and get a better shot. That play killed whatever momentum we had. We get 2 points we're down 1. Instead we go the other way and end up down 5.

Yeah that +1 Johnson shouldve had definitely changed the possible outcome of the game. BTW, im cool with Hill taking the shot, I know he wasnt making them tonight but has been during the season and plus that didnt cost us the game. Allen having a career first quarter did. If Hill makes two of the shots he missed we possibly win the game.

Nothing to complain about tonight, honestly guys..going into this game I said I hope we can win one out of the two tough games. Well see what happens tomorrow.

Anyone want to give me a recap? I couldn't watch today's game, but it sounded epic.

Great team ball, especially defensively. Offense had a few sputters as always especially while were down with key pieces.. Boozer had a good game, Kobe looked pre-injury form and was looking real good, if Hill makes a couple shots(had a bad shooting night) and or Tony Allen doesnt have a lucky first quarter we win the game. It was that close.

As others have said, losing both Nick Young for this extended period of time and then Randle for the season has really strapped us for the early part of this year. We just don't have the guns at this moment. We at least are battling though. Looking forward to Swaggy P's return.

@BadCoaching ... Youve been negative on multiple threads ive noticed. Not just this one. Theyre not excuses, we are VERY limited. New coach with new system, new players, only 7 games into the season, and Kobe who didnt play for over a year. EVERY SINGLE TEAM MADE THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR that weve played so far. Weve been without Randle pretty much the entire year due to barely putting in some minutes before getting hurt. Kelly,Young who COMBINED for 25PPG last year,Henry whose also been banged up averaged 10PPG last year,no Ellington last night.

We were step for step and easily couldve beat LAC,PHX,MEM who are 3 of the top teams in the league with all that I mentioned above and those things are simply not easy to over come by. But at the end of the day, whatever makes you feel better. Trust me, I was fairly optimistic before the year started as well.

Lakers should sign this cat for some much needed interior defense:

    Our organization/team has currently no direction/purpose ...

Sad to see how bad we fell off

The direction is wait until we can cash in on a couple free agents WORTHY of the max. Also another thing to think about, obviously were not winning a championship this year, who knows, maybe IF we keep the top 5 pick that player ends up being the stud we were missing and needed to strike gold on. Would also give us HOPEFULLY 2 starters on rookie contracts, wed still have Houstons 1st and a 2nd to play with as well. With Clarkson,Kelly, thats 6 players on cheap contracts.

Patience my man, itll be okay.
