"All of which Russell argued could happen if the trio changes one thing" . . . Get a competent coach with a real offensive system.

Actually I was disappointed to learn how much these three aren't on the same page.

Apparently they haven't been watching film together at all. What the f*** is that about? Who is leading these three?

You notice how there isn't a lot of mention of how much "coach" is helping them, or how he can help them grow together going forward. Usually with young teams that are doing well and a good coach you'll hear a lot of "coach believes in us", "coach has us buying into the system", "coach has really helped me ____". We get one mention here kind of, Randle saying being benched made him appreciate starting. Yeah, that's some lesson, taking something away and then giving it back makes you appreciate it again now that you have it back. Take that candy away from a little kid for no good reason, don't tell them why you did it, then give it back later and don't tell them why, the kid is happy, candy is nice to have, huge lesson learned. :speechless:

Everything they say in that article is "we have to, we need to". I hope this means they are trying to grow despite or in spite of coach, or don't expect him to be here much longer so they know they need to lean on eachother against a common enemy. "It's time WE learn from eachother". "WE'RE trying to get it together". "WE got to take it on our own". Then he says they're finally watching film together. You JUST figured this out? That to improve as a unit maybe watch film on what you're doing wrong AS A UNIT? Good lord, what does B0ron even DO here besides run hard practices, spout coaching cliches, stand arms-folded during games, call the same last shot play of a close game every single time, and collect a big pay check? We should be more impressed with our rookies and Clarkson than we already are and not look at their numbers too hard if they aren't huge, because basically they are doing this and figuring this out on their own.

They probably never watched film together because Boron refused to put them all on the court at the same time. And other basketball reasons.

This jumped out at me right here. They don't get any help.....from the coaching staff. That much is certain.

This is just really disgustingly sad. Tank considerations aside, there is NO excuse for why these three have essentially wasted their first developmental season together. Ticks me off.

Playing and growing together is what was bonding those guys during the summer on the practice courts and on the steep sand dune in the heat of the summer. Julius with the added incentive of having missed his entire 1st year in the league. Thank god Boron had the good sense to reinforce all of that camaraderie with having the wood on the bench actually coach and encourage Russell and Randle separately from their 3rd Amigo, Clarkson.

It's nice they understand they are the future. Damn, it would be awesome to add at least Ingram to that core next season. Obviously Simmons would be a dream, but just Ingram would be great.

It's too bad that Tarik Black isn't still on the team. He could maybe be part of their club and the 4 of them could work together. But I guess Black really wanted to play overseas.

Yeah I lost track of him ..... whatever happened to that guy? He was so promising in his rookie season for Houston and the Lakers last year. Thought sure he'd be a good 2nd string center or small ball center. Guess he didn't have enough grit to play in the bright lights? If he had stuck it out he'd certainly have gotten a lot of minutes this year. Athletic, strong, 6'9" semi skilled guys in their rookie years nicknamed BOOM BOOM don't grow on trees.
