^^^They made it funny - but seriously, it ranges from annoying (the dirty old men) to scary (groups of guys). I'm no supermodel but I get comments like, "Chick, you look delicious this morning." Ew! That was one of the ickier ones.

p.s. - I always say thank you when someone holds a door open for me.

I don't really talk about the military, so no comment :)

The video hits pretty hard. I've gotten some strange comments (mostly from women) over the years, but they're few and far between. I know my wife and daughter get them. And I know that guys say stuff like, "What? I can't even tell a girl she looks good?" Nope - if she's not showing interest in you, keep it to yourself.

Gotta keep it real, dogg. My wife and daughter keep a mental list of the weird things people have said to me. It's sometimes hilarious, but it's sometimes a bit creepy. I worked for a summer in a video store. A guy said, "Are you a fighter?" I said, "Pardon?" He said, "Do you do martial arts?" I used to do Ju-Jutsu, so I said that. He told me I "carry myself like a fighter." I don't know.

Haaa, it's funny what people say to you. I've got really long lucious and luxurious eye lashes for a guy, so I've had people say "are you wearing fake eyelashes?" or "are you wearing mask-era?"

I have some awesome stories about my eyes, too!

At a movie theater, the girl working the register told me that I have beautiful eyes. Then she told me, "I'm sorry, but my mother told me always to tell the truth."

I was getting drinks with a colleague to discuss a new program we were working on at UCF. We got beer at a place on campus. The bartender told me that I looked like Paul Rudd. Then she said, "Well, just your eyes. But I think he's (Paul Rudd's) hot." My colleague said, "What am I? Chopped liver."

Guys have good eye lashes because we don't mess with them so they grow strong. At least that's what my wife tells me.

The whole "it's not creepy to make sexual comments to a woman," thing is obviously just BS that mainly young guys (Teens to mid-20s) believe because they haven't had enough life experience yet to realize that the line between their intentions and how other people perceive them aren't the same thing.

For example, if I was driving and someone got pissed enough to start following me, I would feel threatened even if the road-rager just wanted to yell at me and then be done with it. Why? Because we're humans. We're not mindreaders. If things could be interpreted as "I might totally mess you up," then just don't say it. That's common sense that goes beyond gender.

Explaining the situation like that normally gets any disagreements on the subject settled, but for the less refined individuals, I find it helps to just mirror the sexual comments right at the person claiming everything is cool when throwing out sexual comments.

"Hey man, you have a nice a**."

Just totally deadpan the first comment, and when they're taken aback, keep going with it (Unless the person is getting ready to shoot you).

"And your lips look so soft...." (Pause for more shock/anger) "See, you didn't like that did you? Now imagine I had 5 of my buddies with me and we were all telling you about your nice lips."

    DONE.

^Agree, but perception of a sentence aside, what is the intention in yelling "nice a**" at a girl when you're driving by her? Or telling a girl that she looks pretty in her clothing?

Is it anything more than "I'd like to engage in sexual relations with you"?

This one time my wife and I and our friends were hanging out at the beach. I was the only one with just swim trunks on; everyone else was fully clothed. This girl comes up from another group and says to me, "Sorry, I lost a bet!" Then... she slaps me on the behind!!!

Lol, I had no clue how to react! I just froze. :D I guess it's harassment, all things being equal?

Or is it "kind of" ok for her since she is a girl, and in our society it's not "as bad" as if it were the other way around?

I was at a Halloween party a few years ago. It was for grad students, so there was a mildly more sophisticated atmosphere than you might expect at a college party. I was standing by the table with one of the hosts discussing a barley wine we were drinking. My wife was nearby. A female grad student (whom I didn't know) pinched my nipple and went, "Honk." Then she walked away. I looked at my wife; she just laughed. I take it that that was inappropriate. No clue how to react either. Long story short: I feel your pain.

It's definitely not cool for random people to just touch you whenever they want, even if it's kind of a joke - but life is too short to get all anal about moments that will pass quickly where you never were in danger.

On the flip side, quickly tapping a girl's boob or something like that doesn't fall into the same category, because if a guy touched a woman inappropriately, then to her that man could be liable to rape her because of the physical advantage that exists - whereas if some chick tapped my butt, I'm probably in no danger of getting raped by her.

Now if some 7'0 giant tapped grabbed my junk, that would be different... I should be horrified of what could happen, etc.

Imo, the creepiest thing women can do though is to be really horndoggish/intense randomly.

For example, there was this one time I was texting with some girl I had just met and it was a completely normal conversation, like a "Hey! - How are you?" type thing. I wasn't even interested or leading this girl on either, so the conversation was continuing normally for a few minutes when suddenly she goes "You're my dream guy. I've been thinking about you f***ing me."

    And I was like...

Compliments are cool. Everybody likes being told they're awesome, but getting solicited makes me feel dirty. It's almost like some ladies think "all guys want sex," so they can just bust out the most lewd things and it'll be cool. Not true. Ladies need to learn their mack game foreal. lol

I'll agree that the previous incidents were definitely inappropriate and are considered a form of sexual harassment. They shouldn't have happened. I will also agree with @Gangsterbomb that men harassing women has the addition threat level that is an important point.

I will also say this - you have these one or two examples in your lives of this happening, while women deal with this monthly, weekly, even daily. That's what is so frustrating. It's not all guys, there are good guys out there, but all women have experienced it.

I didn't mean to compare. I'm not interested in those conversations - because if it's wrong, it's wrong. That said, I do think women experience it far more frequently in general.

I think these are great examples of how most guys would react to inappropriate advances and touching by a women. Because it's so rare for women to do that, the guy is taken aback and doesn't know how to react in the moment, whereas women are much more on guard for things like that happening to them.

I think that these different reactions might be part of the norm of the male pursuing the female. If everyone openly pursued people, and people didn't think men had to pursue and women don't pursue (who usually proposes marriage anyways?) then how might a man react to a nipple pinch? I would think that in this context, both people would be equally as offended. After all, breasts aren't sex organs anyways. Maybe you might think they are though, but are they?

How about a girl spanking a boys butt vs. a boy spanking a girls butt? Butts certainly aren't sex organs. I think the reason a girl would get offended and a guy wouldn't is because of the norm of boys pursuing girls.
