I'd honestly prefer to hold on to Lou. I like Lou a lot and starting next summer his contract is going to be amazing.

yeah, hill and robinson are both legit sf-sized, too. I'd take a deal like that, but like real, I wouldn't just sell lou for nothing. he's valuable on that contract; lots of teams would like a player who produces like that, including the lakers if they plan on being good again sometime in the near future.

I'm all for unloading Lou Williams. I think he's pretty overrated and he also forces our idiot coach to bench either Clarkson or Russell down the stretch. If you can get a first round pick for him, or some nice young players for him (like the Indy deal), you do it and don't think twice.

There's no way you're getting a first round pick for him. I also disagree that he's overrated. Also, it's not his fault our coach sucks. I'm not willing to trade away value just because our coach sucks. It's infinitely easier to fire a bad coach than find talent on a valuable contract.

He's also a guy like Clarkson who you can count on to get off a pretty good shot when that has to happen. Maybe more so than Nick. Lou's got more skills than Nick though he is smaller and not as potentially physical.

Good deal for Detroit. Don't get it for Orlando, unless they think Jennings is an upgrade over Elfrid

Dang, we couldn't come up with a better package than that for Harris? Lou Williams is comparable to Jennings, and Ilyasova is nothing special.

Probably wanted the cap relief so they could be players in the FA market this summer. Ersan has a team option and Brandon has an expiring.

Seems a good deal for both sides.

They're looking at cap space. They can give Fournier $ and sign a max deal or two. I think they're too far away from being good for Tobias to make sense there.

Then I would have asked for a future pick as well. Expiring contracts shouldn't be enough to net you a talented kid like Tobias Harris. If that's all it took, then Mitch should have given them Roy. Expiring contract in a position that they need more help in anyway.

I think they'll end up keeping BJ. I'm sad Harris isn't coming here, and it's worse that he's going from sunny Orlando to Detroit, but I think they were thinking about $ most of all.

If they keep him then there's less cap space to speak of! Also they could have kept Roy too. They've got a ton of wing/guard types now. Oladipo, Hezonja, Fournier, and Peyton are all young and worth building around. Jennings is an awkward fit to me. On the other hand they've got Vucevic and who else down low?
