What a BEAST! Yeah he wasn't quite as athletic as Jordan but so what. Surprised so few were with #24 on his back considering the prime he was still in. What an amazing player.

Who do you even see nowadays with that much aggression and power to the rim? Not only that, they're mostly all created off the dribble by himself driving to the rim.

We're so lucky guys. All stats aside, he will forever go down as the greatest and most entertaining Laker of all time from a pure basketball perspective.

    Notes on the vid:
    - 24 could contort his body in mid-air. Carter was the other. Jordan and Wilkins from recollection were mostly straight ahead dunkers.
    - 24 did some wind-mills in traffic on dudes... The others were just straight vicious cold-blooded s**t.
    - 24 did not just hang but exploded to higher elevations.
    - 24 did a few with his weaker hand too. I don't think the others I mentioned did with the same frequency.

Kobe's body control, dexterity, and flexibility in the air is just incredible. We've seen higher jumpers, but I've never seen player with that trait I see in Kobe. His mid air creativity is crazy not to mention so many of those great dunks are off the dribble and in traffic. He has a very unique mix of jumping ability, athleticism, power, creativity, body control, skill and showmanship.

Won't agree with much of the order, but yes, the main thing I enjoy most is the variety, creativity, and shire explosiveness, anger he could attack the basket at times.

Not many mixes have this dunk but I would argue that the one at 4:07 is the most violent he's ever dunked. When I do see that dunk in mixes I know its more of a legit mix because so many people leave it out so often.

I've always wondered how players that dunk that hard that often keep from wrecking their fingers and wrists more often? I guess they pull the hand motion at the last split second when the ball is already headed through the hoop?

the ferocity of those dunks reminds me of Westbrook. Man, the level of skill he has almost makes you forget how athletic and strong he is.

Kobe was without a doubt one of the best dunkers in the game. I would say that everyone should unanimously agree on this, but considering that list ESPN put out, I guess there will always be some idiotic haters out there.

Any thoughts on this, I'm genuinely curious and never had to worry about my fingers or wrists in this manner. I played at 5'9" and on my best days could only get to within 1/4" of even touching the rim.

Look how hard Nance's hand seems like it hits.

It could be part of the cause of some of Kobe's shoulder injuries. He dunks with such crazy power at times.
