    Yeah I disagree with that.

Teague is a move for the future. How many All-Star caliber point guards are available for trade and cost only 8 million dollars? Teague is the kind of guy who can help give you credibility. I'm surprised so many of you are uninterested. As soon as Byron is gone, that kind of talented back court is going to mean big things for the Lakers. In today's NBA why would you want LESS of a great commodity on the perimeter?

At 8 million dollars we'd still have two max slots open this summer too. Who the hell are we to be turning down talent if it's available?

Yup. Only way I don't take back a trade with Teague is if it involves any one of our young core. At the very least he's another valuable asset because of his contract, ability, and age. When you stockpile as many assets as possible is when you set yourself up for mega-trades down the line.

I don't think it's about turning down talent. We have talent on the roster that just doesn't fit and I don't think Teague fits at all. We have our point guard of the future. We need to surround him with some shooters and finishers to help best utilize his skill set.

Teague has one year left on his contract. It would be nice, but I don't know what it would do to our rotations and our prospects for developing our rookies.

Tobias would take minutes from only Kobe and Young. That's a win-win.

I'm mostly with you, but Teague is a shooter.

I don't think Russell is really a PG and he's already admitted he's struggled with being one so far this season. He's just a guard. He has great vision, but he's a better scorer than a guy who sets up his teammates with double-digit assists.

I agree with the fact he'd interrupt some development, but honestly that's on Byron and since he won't be here long anyway, I'd take Teague if we can get him for a reasonable amount.

Teague can be a PG while D'Angelo learns where to pick his spots in the NBA. Not to mention, he's the kind of proven guy you can bring to a FA and say "look here's the talent we have on our team that proves we can compete right away".

You can't have 3 good guards on the same team (or 4 if you count Lou)? Russ can't split time or even play next to Teague? Clarkson couldn't be instant offense off the bench or the backup PG next to Lou? I'd take Teague in a second for anyone not named Russ, Randle, Clarkson, and maybe Nance. Not sure why they'd give him for anyone else, but I'd take him. You want better players on this team, you want talent going forward, he's a good player.

What rookie point guard doesn't struggle? There have been growing pains and that'll continue, but that doesn't mean he can't be a point guard in this league and a great one at that. No he doesn't have double digit assists in a lot of games, but how can he when there is no spacing, nobody able to finish off his passes consistently, not enough quality sets, and too often like the end of the Pacers game he's just a spectator and the ball isn't in his hands and obviously the lack of big minutes. The only way Russell is gonna learn by getting the minutes at point guard and Teague being here won't allow that to happen. Good player I just don't think it would be a wise move. We do need talent, but we need better fitting talent.

I wholly agree that filling a spot for $8m is huge. The question I have is, "What will we give up for him?"

We could give up expiring contracts, but something tells me they'd want value, too.

Orlando might just want space. I'd want Harris. This works out.

I'd take Harris as well. Give me either one, we need talent, and there's zero guarantee anyone of any worth signs here as a FA simply because we have money. If we can get the talent thing going with trades, we should. Hibbert's expiring HAS to interest someone.

That's something I could get behind. I liked Tobias last summer. Good ol' Steve Kyler says the Magic wouldn't just give him up though. He said they're only going to move Tobias for value. I don't know what that would mean for us, but I might make the move.

As for Teague costing us something, yeah I'm not sure what it would cost. Something like Lou/Nance Jr. works. Nick Young/Brandon Bass/Larry Nance Jr. works.

I'd take Teague. Good contract and makes Lou expendable. Teague and Russell in the backcourt with JC as our deluxe sixth man. Lou is a good player on a solid contract. He's movable. If we drop to the third pick, Lou plus the #3 pick is a nice package for a good piece. Not a great piece, but a good one.

Yeah, I guess I'd get behind a Teague trade. It's just not a real area of need, but we can address those areas in Free Agency. We've got a bunch of guys I'd be down to move including Swaggy, Bass, Sacre, Kelly, and/or Hibbert. Perhaps by adding Teague it could make us a more viable destination for other FA's. I would try to keep Lou to play along with Teague actually. The other guys just aren't worth keeping.

What I'm hearing is that they have to make some decisions about Fournier, at least. They're both good - Fournier would be a nice addition on this team, btw. He's a great outside shooter, and he's basically a better version of Sasha.

I'd hate to give up Nance to get Teague. I know that sounds ridiculous, mind you. Teague would be a huge lift for us.

I'd rather not give up our good young players. Let's offer Anthony Brown instead!

I'd do it. I like Nance a LOT but I would like Teague a lot more.

I have no idea what the Magic are doing. They've got a TON of really talented young guys. They should package a few of them and send them for a real game changer. If Harris OR Fournier is available I'd gladly take either.

One thing I like about Teague is that his contract ends in 2017. If we wanted to pick up a FA in 2017 like Russell Westbrook, Teague's contract makes it flexible for us to do so.

I'd consider Nance in a trade, only because he's had knee issues, and they are cropping up again. If that's going to be a thing in a player whose athleticism is a huge part of his game, I'd gamble on letting him go for Teague. You have to give some talent to get talent.
