What are they expecting to see from Byron that they haven't yet? They shouldn't let the fact that they don't have a permanent replacement lined up stop them from firing him. They have to show potential free agents that Byron will not be here and that they are not completely braindead to a horrible situation. Any faceless assistant coach we have right now cannot do a worse job at developing our young guys. I mean what's the worst that could happen, we lose more games?

If Scott gets fired, how many coaches will we be paying? Brown and DAntoni still on the payroll?

I wonder that too. I know he had an adjustment to the NBA, but he was a lame duck with Her Highness. It'll be different in another organization. He can coach.

I actually think he is the perfect Mark Jackson to our future Steve Kerr. Or Del Harris to Phil Jackson. Or Doug Collins to, well, Phil Jackson.

I feel similarly. If he's a good teacher, I'm in. We're not going to attract a championship level NBA coach right now, but I can see him being a very solid option.

There is nothing that would make me want to keep him as head coach. He's done everything wrong in my opinion. Even the few things he does right, I think he does the wrong way or for the wrong reasons. Restricting the minutes of the young players is acceptable to me at times IF they are making the same mistakes over and over again in that game. The next game, they should have a clean slate. It encourages them to try hard every single night to improve in the areas you want them to improve. If Russell has 5 turnovers, it's okay to pull him for Lou and let Lou have 30+ minutes that night. The next night is Russell's again and see if he improves. If he doesn't, pull him again.

He's not good with the press. See: Byron vs. Don.

He's shown no semblance of an offense that fits this team let alone this decade. He's so locked in his ways that he doesn't know how to fight current NBA coaching. He simply doesn't get it. Our offensive sets have no spacing and movement that leads to nowhere. Remember when Mike Brown ran the Princeton and we ended up running in circles for 15 seconds until someone forced up a bad shot? We've been seeing that for two years now. Our defense is half poor effort and half archaic sets. We're not even utilizing Roy Hibbert the right way. We've completely marginalized him despite being an All-Star just a couple years ago.

He doesn't know how to communicate with his own players. Recently D'Angelo said he doesn't even know the right questions to ask so he doesn't ask many questions. That's bad teaching. Most of the time when a kid is pulled and asked why they say "I don't know". He didn't even talk to them when he put them on the bench earlier this year.

He's shown no ability to adjust. Late in games Dallas throws a zone at us and Byron can't coach his way out of a paper bag. Our guys get flustered and we lose.

He hasn't been able to inspire these guys at all. They're listless and uninterested most of the time. It takes special circumstances for them to get their s*** together and actually play hard. Why? We're 50 games into the season and how many of those games have you seen where they play hard for 48 minutes? Probably 10 games or so? Maybe? Even a couple of games that they won didn't feel all that great.

He strikes me as someone who can be a little timid out there if there are some big ego players and or personalities

Why? Blatt would be a tremendous hire.

I'd rather have Luke or Thibs, but Blatt wouldn't be a bad choice by any means.
