Was at the game tonight, boy did Staples get LOUD when we made that little run late in the 4th. Reminded me of the old days, it was nice. Incidentally I was sitting 6 feet away from Mitch the whole game. He was with Rudy T. I made sure to occasionally yell very loudly "where's the offense?" just to make sure he knows we know. Ended up chatting with him and told him despite the tough times that we're happy about the young talent we've managed to compile and that they've done a good job drafting. It seemed like he needed the positivity.
I'm fellin' it! I've got a lottery ticket and if I win... eh who am I kidding? If I won I'd still be here talking with you guys.
I would have DEFINITELY told him Byron has to go. I would have prefaced it with "He was one of my favorite players." But if I had Mitch in front of me, there's no way I let that moment go without telling him to eject Boron.
On the plus side, the make a wish thing was really cool. Gave that kid Yitzi Teichman (brain cancer) a one day contract as a full fledged member of the Lakers.
Who then INSULTED the Lakers GM and said it would be hard for him NOT to improve the Lakers lol. How far we have fallen....
Just 96 days!!! I mean, the Force Awakens GIF fueled the optimism thread for me through the first half of the season. Let's roll with this so it'll get us almost to the draft lottery.
Very cool. The fact that this is the highlight of our season though speaks volumes to the b****** the FO has given the fans.
http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/showthread.php?797-how-long I thought this would be a pretty entertaining link to share for you all in the spirit of optimism. It's a thread from an OKC Thunder forum in the midst of their 3-26 start a few years back. It's pretty funny to see the parallels in their posts of frustration with the some of the things we vent about here at Lakersball today. If you look through some of their other similar threads, they rip PJ Carlesimo and openly yearn for his firing, question the front office moves of Sam Presti, and pray that the lottery odds get them Blake Griffin lol. Little would they know the massive rise their young nucleus would take them on in the next 2 years after the firing of their coach. It gives me glimmers of hope that maybe the same can still happen here. Hope breeds optimism. Stay strong fellas.
Jeez... we're even further along than 3-26... That means they finished that season 20-33, right? Right now we're 9-41 so in order to finish 23-59 we'd have to go 14-18, right? Anyone think we've got a chance at that? Thanks for the link @EJones06 . I get it and you're right. This can turn around quickly if things bounce our way, but man... Right now there's just very little reason to think the FO will make the decisions they need to make in order to turn this around. Starting of course with getting rid of Byron Scott.
