What the heck is Philadelphia going to do LOL Also, if I'm the Lakers, I'm probably flipping Hibbert for an asset since I don't think he is in the long-term plans.
Rumor is Noah is unhappy with his current situation. If it doesn't cost us a young'n I might look to get him. Darius Soriano suggested a trade of: Out: Roy Hibbert/Nick Young In: Noah/Heinrich/Felicio If Noah is a better fit/more effective player why not get him now and find out? It won't cost us anything different and if he's not a good fit we'll figure it out now. The only thing it'd cost us is Roy's bird rights. If we know we don't want Roy back, then no harm done.
interesting proposal. Not sure how motivated they would be to do that. We don't necessarily need Heinrich, but could waive fuzzy head to make it happen.he's not any worse for sure. We'd have to make an open roster spot for Felatio Is he a good ball handler? Can he defend back door? How is he at rim protection?
I have no idea who Felicio even is. I've never heard of him. Heinrich is an upgrade over Huertas. A big one even. I know Roy is great with the youngsters, but Noah has a similar locker room presence and he's a little more intense on the floor. It might help bring out that intensity in our kids. The only issue with Noah is he's been very injury prone the last few years. Ideally he's coming off the bench, but he's not loving that role in Chicago right now. He's getting only 20 minutes a game and his numbers have fallen off a tall cliff. It might be a lateral move, but it's worth it to me if we want to see what Noah's got. He'd give his all here in a starting position again. It'd be good for him and hopefully good for us as well. It just depends on whether they're ready to pull the plug on the Hibbert experiment.
Felatio!!! Hahaha....choking on peanut butter doesn't feel good (morning bagel w/ PB almost coming out my nose)
Glad you clarified the bagel thing. Felatio and choking on peanut butter in the same sentence raised my eyebrows.
Hibbert is not netting you an asset, man. We traded for him with a 2nd round draft pick. As we both know and seen, he hasn't done anything to enhance his value whatsoever this season. In fact, he's lowering his value with his current play. He clearly has some limitations. Just not happening. I think he's gone in the summer, though. We need to move in a different direction.
Still a big expiring contract and may hold value for a contender. Never know! You only need two teams interested to start the bidding war. A sudden injury to a guy like Kanter could raise his value to a contender that is getting ready for a playoff run.
My unscientific research is that there will always be an open roster spot for fellatio It is just the nature of the way things are. It probably is hard to allocate a roster spot to though - Maybe a ten day contract?
Presti wouldn't look twice at Hibbert. He's here for the remainder of the season. So, we'll continue witnessing him fumbling passes, falling down, and throwing up his patented hook shots that brick the majority of the time.
Bulls shopping their bigs: http://nba.nbcsports.com/2016/01/13...-gasol/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter I've been a fan of Gibby for ages, Noah has a heart and motor that never quit...his body might thought, and wouldn't Pau coming back for Kobe's final couple months add a little nostalgia to the farewell tour.
just to ruin our draft possibilities? Can't see us trying to get much of value in return except for picks with other expiring contracts.
Interesting article about JC next contract http://www.latimes.com/sports/laker...dan-clarkson-offer-sheet--20151224-story.html
not sure noah's bird rights are worth a ton. with his health issues, you don't want to offer the extra year, and his cap hold will be pretty hefty. this isn't like getting a guy on his rookie deal or a low-salaried, over-performing vet, in which cases bird rights are huge. ironically, the chandler parsons situation in houston is the ideal one for a team. houston just botched it in several ways at the end. of course, most players in that situation won't be traded, anyway, precisely because they're in that situation. anyway, i don't see the lakers doing a lot prior to the deadline. i think mitch will try to hit a home run (like cousins or something) using some of our young talent, but i'm guessing it won't be there and/or the offer will get trumped (e.g., boston offers bkn's unprotected top 5 pick). but he's not going to add salary beyond this year for a non-allstar, imo. which rules out most trade possibilities. i'm ok with that, though. focus on developing the young guys, keep bass and lou around as useful vets on reasonable deals, and hope to do better in the summer trade/FA market than they have of late.
If we got DeRozan or Harrison Barnes that would be a huge hit. I think they would work better for a team needing to develop a couple more years, Durant is a win-now player and I don't think we're going to be that type of team for a couple more years
