We've become that team who does well the first half or so, and you think Wow that team is pretty good. But then the opposing team gets their ish together and wins the game.

Doesn't have to be a star.. Cousins, Derozan, Big Al, Dragic, Monta, even Monroe who was I was completely against signing.. Give me any player ready to put up 20+ PPG today over Randle.. Worry about rebuilding when Kobe is done or let Kobe go to a playoff team for a package of young players and picks.. No sense in straddling the fence. Even if Randle ends up being an allstar, we're going to be 1 of the worst teams in the league when Kobe retires if we don't bring in more 20 PPG scorers.

Teams will be trying to fleece the Lakers. No way we get those guys without giving up more assets. Randle was an unknown and still is. No team was willing to take a chance giving up an established player for him.

You have to remember that the four teams we played against have rosters who played together for at least two years. This Laker team just got formed in the off season.

In other words, we have to take our licks in early.

We more than suck, minus Kobe we just don't belong in the NBA right now. It's bad when the most hated coach in laker history had a better start than the one we have now.

Right.. we probably couldn't get any of those guys.. But there are a few more that are/were 20 PPG scorers in starter minutes.. IT might be someone we could get for the disabled player exception & Hou 1st.. & I'd take his 20 PPG & no defense over what Lin is giving us. Conley, Teague, Knight, Millsap, Afflalo, Wes Matthews & Kemba are all right there too.. Even guys like Kevin Martin, Pek, & *gasp* Rudy Gay would be huge upgrades to this roster.. I know we suck on defense too but we're going absolutely nowhere with Kobe & Swaggy as our only guys capable of putting up 20 points. Lin & Boozer are the definition of average, almost everyone else is below average to bad offensively.

Our D looks good, such a nice change after what Mike's team showed us...

We don't have the personnel to defend ... I thought people understood this a long time ago .

Takes time to accept our team sucks ... I wasn't a fan of MDA style and I think Scott isn't a good coach either but it does not matter much since we have little talent ...

We are giving up 118ppg. By far the most in the league. So we talked mostly about defense in training camp but this is way too much, even with not having a real rim protector ...

It's the 4th quarter that's killing us. After a good 3rd quarter it looks like we have no legs and are only scoring around 20 points while giving up an average of 28 points. Last 2 games we gave up 30+ while barely managing 20 or so. Something has to change to where we have more energy defensively in that 4th.

Numbers are a bit misleading.. Our offense is so bad that it makes our defense look worse.. We're having gamble to come back from huge deficits because we don't have the scorers to keep up with anyone.. Our main rotation players aren't bad defenders.. Lin, Davis, Hill, Wes, Price, even Kobe is playing some defense this year.

I watched every game so far. The number of points may be a bit high but the defense really bad so far in my opinion. Better than the offense but that is another topic for itself ...

One day we'll win. 53-17 in bench points. Desperately needing Nick young. Wesley Johnson still sucks. Boozer still sucks. Definitely need Ed Davis in starting line up since yesterday.

Or at least, Hill and Ed David to finish the game. If we're not gonna spread the floor, at least give Jeremy options not named Wes.

We should have had the Duke out there instead of wes at the end of the game

He was, actually. It was just Kobe ball the few possessions.

    The game should finish with

    Lin
    Ellington
    Kobe
    Hill
    Davis

It was great they kept it close most of the game.

Have my standards and expectations really sunk that low?
