JJ is way more hit and miss. The story breaks down as the season goes on too which is unfortunate. It's entertaining, but Daredevil is next level.
Done with the Jones. It was realy good, better than i expected . On to the next one. Out of the Flash, Arrow and Agents of SHIELD which one is worth watching the most?
Hmm, if you're expecting DD or JJ level quality with those network shows, you'll be disappointed. I still watch those 3 shows but I find I have a hard time watching these basic tv shows now. Just a different level of quality.
Flash and Arrow are campier and more "comic-book-y" while Agents of SHIELD tries to be more dramatic. They're not bad, but definitely none of those shows are of the same quality as the Netflix properties. Not even close. If you watch Agents of SHIELD get through the first 17 episodes or so until it crosses over with Winter Solider. That's when s*** really pops off.
Hmm, that doesn't sound too promising I'll give it a shot anyways, nothing better to do (im like a bear come winter time) . Is there anything out there, for a big SOA fan ? Since i never had time i only saw very few shows (soa, bb, the wire, got, spartacus and few homeland episodes). I'm more than sure i missed on some GREAT ones .
I rank Agents of Shield above Jessica Jones actually. Yeah, AoS starts off terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE. But once it crosses over to Winter Soldier, it's a lot more fun than JJ, and even though it's a different style of writing, and not nearly as dark, I think AoS emulates comic style writing really well. After that I like Flash a lot actually. Arrow is much more like a WB soap opera. Way too much like Dawson's Creek or one of those other WB teen shows, so I rank it last.
I completely disagree with that. I think JJ is leagues better than AoS. AoS has the typical network show flaws: low budget, lower quality acting/writing.
My personal ranking for all super hero shows, DC/Marvel, yes I watch all of them. Daredevil Jessica Jones Flash Agents of Shield Arrow Gotham Supergirl Whatever Netflix is doing with their shows, its working, have yet to hear anything really negative about any of their shows. Flash is comic book fun, I find myself enjoying it the most because it knows when to be serious and when to have a laugh. Shield starts off terribly but like the others have said, once it hits the Winter Soldier crossover, things picked up and it hasn't really slowed down since. Arrow, its a love hate relationship really. It can sometimes be really good and sometimes just really bad. The Arrow/Flash crossovers are really fun though. Gotham, not a show about Batman but about a young James Gordon and young Batman villains. Its decent but it hasn't really gone anywhere exciting yet. Supergirl the newest of the group really. It has had a rocky start but things are picking up, its interesting but honestly not worth the watch, acting is pretty bad all around.
I can't disagree more. Jessica Jones is well made, high quality, but so much less fun to watch, and bordering on boring in comparison to AoS. And Agents of Shield most certainly doesn't look low budget since the first season. I really can't see any big flaws to that show. I think it's really good and JJ isn't really close to me.
^Sure, I mean different strokes for different folks. But going by imdb ratings, JJ is 8.5, AoS is a 7.5. I pretty much agree with those ratings.
^I know it's not the popular opinion, but I think it comes down to a preference of drama (JJ) vs action and some humor (AoS).
I like both shows, but I think JJ is better. It's just higher quality all around from top to bottom. I like Agents of SHIELD as a guilty pleasure, but I have no such guilt about Netflix shows. Those are just super high quality products. Agents of SHIELD is fun though. I think they brought in some of the Lost writers if I'm not mistaken so you get a lot of that intrigue back.
Netflix is releasing DD on March 25th. Just happens to be the same day Bat vs. Supes is released. Coincidence?
Haha!! Marvel/Netflix is taking on the big boys. Probably going to eat into their box office sales too.
Late to the party but RE: @Kenzo 's question. I recently stopped watching the flash as it just got way to campy and imo lost its way. Tom Cavanagh really carries the first season and makes for some great tv. While he is in the second season it has a very different plot and seems to be going in 8 different directions at once. I also tried to watch arrow and couldn't. It has that WB cornball feel to it. AoS on the other hand has somehow gone from a terrible show to a fantastic one. While I can't say that it is nearly as good as JJ or DD in terms of quality, acting, or flat production value. It is right up there in terms of being fun and entertaining. It literally went from one of the worst shows on TV to one of the best. The show is awful until about episode 17 and then slowly grows to be fantastic. It will be tempting to skip the first part of the show, though its awful, it does have a lot of story info you need. RE: DD vs JJ Apples and oranges really. DD is a highly entertaining straight forward action show, and JJ is a study on character development. I think they are both fantastic for what they are, and they certainly excel in ways that the others fail. DD action is just phenomenal, but JJ ability to have you sit with characters is leaps and bounds better. They are both great, but if pushed to pick which one I would want to watch again, I have to go with DD. While it certainly isn't the character study that JJ is, nor is it anywhere close to being as well developed emotionally, its just more entertaining.
It took me a month or so to get through JJ. Each episode was just too heavy so I couldn't really binge watch it the way I could DD.
