I don't think either of my rosters are realistic. Here's what's going to happen: trade Clarkson and Russell for Cousins strike out on Durant, missing out on Batum or Barnes or derozen and conley waiting for the home run. sign draft flops second chance guys to one year auditions hope for westbrook next summer.
Clarkson and Russell wouldn't get you Cousins at this point. They've got guards now. I'm guessing they'd a) never trade him to LA to see him 4 times a year and b) would want a big man in return so it would be Randle going along with maybe Clarkson or Russell.
Why would Sacramento trade Cousins to their Pacific Division rival? Not happening. Makes no sense. Plus, Sacramento looks a heck of a lot better than us (who doesn't?)and could make a run at the 8th seed this year if things break right for them. Cousins is also in a ridiculous contract for a couple more years...
True. maybe Clarkson, Russell and number 3 pick if we get it for Cousins. if not, I see them moving Clarkson and Russell for an all star big. God I hope they don't.
I would just give all of the options and power to Byron Scott, and say "surprise me" It's the only time in the last two years that he wouldn't let me down
I doubt GS let him go ( RFA) but getting Ezeli and keeping Roy as a backup would be a GREAT center rotation
At this point, with what we've seen of Randle, if we give up him in a package that nets us Cousins, I'd be very disappointed. Cousins is a bad seed. Rondo is playing out of his mind, so with a pg playing that well and the supposed next great center in Cousins next to him, why do they only have 8 wins? The more time that passes with Cousins' teams locked in the Western Conference cellar, the more you have to wonder what his real impact on the game is. If Cousins was the game changer some people make him out to be, shouldn't they have snuck into the playoffs ONCE in his career by now?
If/when we strike out on guys like Durant and Whiteside, we should max out both Ezeli and Barnes and see what happens.
I don't know who we could trade for either of those guys, but if we aren't going to play Bass at all, not only at C but even at PF, then we should look to move the poor guy. If next year for him is a player option (he's on a 2 year deal right?), then he bolts this summer the way he has been used so wrong.
There are definitely teams out there that could use Bass, and to be honest, Swaggy P too. The Clippers would love to have someone like Swaggy off their bench right now I would think.
