Good thing we have a coach that prioritizes developing all our young talent. :Byronbye:

Ryan Kelly is the future of this franchise. He needs more minutes.

Kelly reminds me of a Luke Walton. Not in terms of their actual game, but in terms of being a guy who can come in hit an occasional shot, will give you some effort, but he's too big of a liability on both ends to be getting consistent minutes.

    That's a good one lol

Is it just me or does Kelly kind of look like Dirk from certain angles?

Nance gives them energy out there but man, give Bass a chance at the 4, his natural position.

Bass's box score suggests he had a phenomenal game compared to recent standards. So I will show him some love because it's been damn awful for him, let's face it.

He seemed to me to play a lot harder tonight, he was hustling. He was going at the rim and actually finishing. I still continue to feel that he's a valuable bench player, just lost out there at C most nights.

He's a quality player. We have misused him for almost the entirety of his tenure here.

I've never held it against him this season because I know what kind of worker this guy is, but being out there at Center is rough for him. He's too small.

He's definitely worked harder to box out the way he should and he's been a little more aggressive offensively too.

I loved the Bass pick up this summer. But I despise Byron misusing him at the backup Center spot. It's criminal to me, as the guy can play and he looks totally hopeless out there most nights.

It seems to me like all three of the last coaches love to play at least one player out of position. With D' Antoni it was Johnson at 4, Brown it was Blake as SG, and now it's Byron with Bass at C. It's just plain idiocy.

I forgot to post a few games ago, but I heard Billy Mac mention that Bass and Hibbert have played ZERO minutes together this season. That's absurd.
    Russell/Clarkson/Young/Bass/Hibbert is a nice lineup.

Huh that's pretty weird when you actually look at it but if Bass ONLY comes in for Hibbert then I guess it makes sense...

That is what happens when coaches get too cute with their personnel. I penciled in Bass as Randle's backup and mentor.

Yeah ^^^ that was the original plan. Plus they probably promised him X number of minutes. Then Bass / Kelly happened and Kelly was thankfully ditched, but in the meantime Nance started to be given minutes subbed in when Randle went out .......and was / still is / WOOT WOOT / playing very well as our next great sleeper draft pick. Bass has an opt out after this season and isn't long term regardless, so it's the right thing to continue to give the minutes to Nancy. Tarik Black gets screwed as Bass is getting his promised minutes?

^Randle will and rightfully get the lion's share of the minutes at the 4. Nance has been a ball of energy out there too. I agree that Bass is right now caught in no-man's land. I don't understand the Black situation at all either.

They finally were in the game together last game or the game before but it was for only like 2-3 minutes

Now clowns all over the world have been insulted. Our colleague ElginTheGreat had great observations about how he conducts himself. Basically translated to "idiot"...

Idiots across the world are now offended. Someone in the know more closely translated it as imbecile.
