I'm currently watching the top 10 Chick Hearn moments on TWCSN. My post in the spirit of this thread, is that if we had to lose Chick, at least he didn't have to be around to see this dumpster fire. To see Kobe go out like this, to see a former Laker showtime favorite be the worst coach in the NBA, to our franchise sink to 3 missed playoffs in a row. He pretty much saw greatness in his career, with a few bad seasons sprinkled in, but nothing, absolutely nothing, like this garbage we are suffering through. These games aren't fit to be called by him.
Hey, look at the bright side. As we continue to not improve upon last season's record, this means a higher chance that Jim Buss will be gone.
I still don't believe that "3 years or I'll step down" crap. Nor do I believe Jeanie will fire him. I think they're just throwing Laker fans scraps to keep us from storming the gates.
Kobe of course is saying it's possible.... he's seen stranger things happen. Cough...hack...pass it on.
I'm optimistic that unless Scott is fired and Kobe gets off the court the Lakers will have one of the 3 worst records with a good chance of keeping their pick.
I'm not saying we're going to win but the Brooklyn Nets was the closest of all the teams to beat the Warriors. And anybody remember during our championship days we kept losing to the freakin' Bobcats? Anyways, optimism!
Only game of the year i want us to lose, lose BAD. So bad, to force the FO hand and fire Byron. Something like 130:80 will do
Just saw that Sixers 19th game , the potential one for the worst start in NBA history is : Lakers at Sixers . We're part of history this season !
By the time we face Sixers, they'll be on a 27-28 games (something kike that) losing streak. If they get their first W against us, i'll seriously stop posting till Boron gets fired.
You never know what could happen. Last year Ronnie Price miraculously found a jump shot and we won a game against the GSW last season. Maybe something similar could happen tonight? Possibly?
For the umpteenth time: there's no "good chance" at keeping the pick. AT BEST we have under 70% at keeping the pick. Most likely we have around 50% or less chance of keeping it.
