Like I said I wasn't really expecting to need to know guys in college yet, but now I think it might be a good idea to pay attention. I've honestly never heard of Alexander, but I'll give it a shot. I think I saw his DE profile maybe. Is that the undersized guy?

Yes he is a bit undersized. Probably about 6'8, but he is a true post player. He would definitely bring us some toughness inside. Overall, I could see it going Okafor, Mudiay, Towns, Johnson, and then Alexander. Naturally, that could change a whole lot during the season. Marcus Paige is another guard I will be keeping an eye on.

I love college hoops and follow it pretty closely. I didn't think I would be talking about prospects this soon on a Lakers board, but unfortunately here I am. I hate to go negative so quickly and would love to be proven wrong, but I am just not seeing it with this group of players. Even at their best, I am having a hard time seeing us winning 30 games. I believe the offense will find its way, but we won't be able to stop anyone.

Sure, I'm not down on Mudiay at all @SFGOLDRUSHER . I just like drafting size. If you wanted to go that route, no problem with me.

But if you draft Mudiay, I think it's a good idea to get a more mobile Center than Gasol. Mudiay is a pretty active player, loves to get on the break. I think he and Randle could be fun out running around, but I'd aim for maybe DeAndre Jordan, Robin Lopez, or even Greg Monroe (sounds strange, but he's actually pretty mobile). Mudiay would be handcuffed in an offense with both Gasol AND Kobe. Keep in mind too Marc Gasol isn't a young man anymore. I'd love to have him, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of attention we give him.

    What about:
    Mudiay/Lin
    Bryant/Harrison/Clarkson
    Johnson/Young
    Randle/Kelly
    Monroe/Davis

I like that a lot actually. Tank for Mudiay!

    Lin- 4/20 Davis- 4/20 Monroe- 4/~70 (starts at 15.7)

The Lin/Davis contracts would be tricky but I think it's close to possible. :D

I know we haven't looked great so far but already talking draft? That is impressive.

I have to stick behind Jimmy Boy for his 3 year plan. But if we see no results I will be the first in line asking for his head on a platinum platter!

I just want the Lakeshow to be back in full effect reigning supreme domination on the league like the way it's supposed to be. Maybe the Mayans were Lakers fans and knew!? I'm irrational and depressed forgive me.

The only way i think of feeling a little satisfied from this season is if somehow Clarkson turns out to be a canidate for rookie of the year.
(which up until now, 3 days of playing, not THAT hard thing to do. no rookie impressed so far).

Let's wait and see what's up in Cle. If Love and Irving stay healthy for the entire season, i'll have enough proof that Gilbert sold his soul to the devil.

Yes. At least with Pau, if Griffin does take jumpers, Pau can contest with his length...Boozer is shorter, less length, so Griffin can elevate and shoot over the top with ease or simply go around him because Boozer has no lateral quickness.

I think Boozer will give him some more toughness though. Griffin will probably still dunk on him a couple times, but Boozer won't stand for the showboating nonsense. He'll push him down a couple times too if that happens. Pau wouldn't even do that.
