yeah, no to rondo. ESPECIALLY not as a mentor. we're talking about a guy who, even in his heyday, was almost run out of town several times because he was such a pain in the a**. now that he's not quite the defender he was--yet he still requires a huge role to be effective--I just can't justify it. had the lakers drafted okafor, I would have been on board with signing rondo, though. might be a better team this year and next, but not in the long haul.

Interesting that Kings have a Hall of Fame Coach, Boogie going for 27/11, Rondo dropping Triple Doubles, and other quality cast members, but are only 2 games up on us? Himmm. Haven't watched their games, but figured based on those two alone their record would be better.

And how in the HELLL is Dallas 8-4? Seriously?

6 of Dallas's 8 wins were against the Pelicans, the Hornets, the Lakers and the 76ers.

It wasn't. If we had Carlisle, we'd be sitting in the same position as the Mavericks, IMO.

With decent to good head coach, we're close to or at .500.

Queens are 4-4 with Boogie , 0-5 without him .

Still a 4-9 record with only 4 road games played is a bad look ...

Mavs have had a very easy schedule but yeah Jim Carrey is great at coaching .

    Dirk shooting 52/50/91 helps too

Kings net rating when Rondo is on the floor : -5.8

Kings net rating when Rondo is off the floor : -1.3

Kings are 5 pts better defensively when he is on the bench

Someone tell me why I should be mad and who to be mad at. Decided to be entertained and watch the Warriors vs Bulls game instead but I was following the score.

Every game is the same thing. I feel like we're trapped in a loop of insanity and frustration.

We played well until the last few minutes of the third. For the remainder of that game we looked like usual selves.

Honestly I saw same concerted effort in the first half. We still absolutely sucked at closing out on 3 pointers but the defense was better inside of the 3 and our rebounding was too.

Then Byron did his usual lineup magic and left the bench in way too long. Also too many minutes for Kobe. Why are you making this dude play with our scrubs of a bench?

Doesn't make any sense unless you trade Clarkson or Russell. What good it is for Russell to sit on the bench? He needs to be on the floor to develop. That's why we need to get a real coach here.

This will happen over, and over, and over again. Like I said in gametime, B0ron has made us psychic. Bass at C and no real PG WILL lose us leads, or make us fall further behind. The lineup of Lou/Young/Metta/Nance/Bass is moronic, our lack of offensive gameplan and defense is immediately exposed. Lou is not a PG, he and Nick have to create for themselves, and Bass is not a C, he's an undersized, jump-shooting PF. This lineup will continue to cost us games, and B0ron will keep riding it, and blame youth and grit and heart.

What to do instead, I have no idea other than switching Bass with Black. Huertas is awful in that lineup too, he solves nothing. Lou, Young, and Metta all need to play, so I don't know how you fix that. Maybe JC or Russ should come out sooner and then one should come back with the bench so one of them is in at all times? I have no idea. We aren't finding some good, quick, playmaking, defensive PG in the D-League though.

The obvious solution is to play Ryan Kelly as a stretch 5

    Don't give Byron ideas now...

Oh who am I kidding, he probably already thought of it and is just waiting to implement it after his usual 15 games

Maybe Byron's trying to run Kobe into the ground so we can move on finally. I love Kobe and just hate watching him play like this.
