What Are You Listening To? (warning: Nsfw Language)

So, now it's reported that The Game's new album will be a double CD. First album, featuring K Dot, Cube and Dre, will be released Oct 9. The second CD will be released a week later and features YG and Nas.

 

Real already know, but I've just discovered Lil d***y and I just wanted to share with everyone. This guy is great. Funny and a damn good rapper

 

^^^ Heard the song with Snoop yesterday. I LOLd a lot. Need to check out the rest of the album.

 

If you're a fan of Lion King he does a rap about the plot of Lion King that's pretty great. He's a talented guy.

I liked the songs I've heard so much I bought Lil d***ies album.

I'll tell you what I think later on too.

 

I've given the Game - Documentary 2 a few listens. It's better than Year of the Wolf and Jesus Piece. Not as good as the original Documentary, Doctors Advocate, LAX, or the RED Album.

Standout songs are Circles, LA, Documentary 2, and 100. Guest appearances include Drake, Q-Tip, Cube, Fergie, Future, AbSoul, Dre, Will I Am, Diddy, and K Dot.

Documentary 2.5 should be out next week.

Overall, I give it a B- and if you're a fan of the Game, you'll like this album. But I doubt it makes him any new fans.

 

I really like Lil d***ie's first album Professional Rapper.

All the songs he made a video for are really good, like Save dat Money, Professional Rapper and Let Me Freak, but he also has a few other songs on there I love like Oh Well, Personality, and The Antagonist II. It also has one song in the middle of the album that is waaaaaaay too long called Pillow Talk. I could have done without that one song being almost 11min. The same for his outro song.

Still over all, the album is really good. His style is much more along the lines of modern rap, but he gives it his own flair with his comedy.

I give it an 8 out of 10

Honestly I loved Pillow Talk. You're right it's a bit long, but I found it funny. I didn't care for White Crime's music video. I thought the idea of the song was good, but the execution wasn't great. I loved including his parents in there for a couple interludes. I thought Hannibal Burress' interlude was solid.

Definite 8/10 for me. Unique, fun, and different.

 

Big K.R.I.T. dropped a surprise mixtape today. Should've been an LP because it's great.

The Documentary 2.5 leaked today. Better than 2.0 and IMO, it's not even close.

 

Not sure how many of you are into Big KRIT, but I HIGHLY recommend "CADILLACTICA" (top 5 album of 2015 / not a bad song on the album) and his first mixtape, "KRIT was Here." He also just released another mixtape, "It's Better This Way" and it's really good too.
