    ...nervous about the Jets game given the bumbling against Chicago and the blown opportunity against Denver. Haven't felt this way in a long while. The constant losing during the past decade plus has been numbing. Now, there is a measure of expectations and it feels great.

    Charles Woodson named Defensive Player Of The Month... Props!

    - Can Cooper break out of Reavis Island to connect with Carr?
    - I see Crabtree having a bigger game.
    - Reece should see more time to help slow the Jets' rush. Screens all day.
    - If the Jets can nullify the Patriot running game then Murray will have a tough day at the office.
    - Is Leonard Williams going to remind Raider brass it was a mistake to have passed on him?
    - I don't see the offense lighting it up so Norton should stop being passive lining up the defense.

    With three more today, Carr has 14 TD passes on the season. That's 35 in his career, tying him with Carson Palmer for 11th most as a Raider.

    Love what I am seeing out of these boys. I am becoming a big fan of Crabtree too. Cooper and Crabtree are straight legit out there.

    I still have the same concerns (which cost us the Den and Cincy, i think, games) and that is 4th quarter offensive play and play calling. Today offense did better in the 2nd half but we still were a tale of two-halves. Like Trodge said we need to learn to play with a lead eat that clock up and put more points on the board. Pit is going to be playing with a serious chip on their shoulder hopefully we can get to Ben quick and often.

    Happy for Raider fans. One of the best fan bases in the league. Derek Carr is right on the verge of becoming one of the better quarterbacks in the league. Cooper is already a #1 reciever. New blood on defense. I still cannot believe the Cowboys had a chance to get Derek Carr and traded two picks for a dude who has one sack in seven games. Ugh!

    Thanks. Still nine games to go for us. No cupcakes too. We'll see how far we have progressed.

    Pokes hung with Seattle yesterday. Romo needs to come back. Murray should have been retained. His running behind that good O-Line is the balance that has been missing.

    Short takes...

    - saw on the ticker that Murray had over 100 yards rushing, felt good without seeing the score.
    - ditto on Carr.
    - finally saw the score and... No words for it.
    - Woodson... 65th pick. No words for it.
    - Andre Holmes joined the party.
    - the Taiwan Jones move looks to be right one. It's not him but the previous regimes.
    - Collinsworth last night... "They [Oakland] look like a professional run organization."
    - Michael Irvin commented that the Carr-Cooper-Murray triumvirate reminded him of The Triplets.
    - Howie Long said he to pinch himself about what he is seeing of the Raiders play.
    - Likely no Bell on Sunday. Oakland has the second ranked [?] defense against the run.
    - Those gifts to Chicago and Denver is irksome...but gotta move on.
