This tool is a "piker" compared to the dude ROFY just quoted an article from in WMC thread. But still deserves the best. (what the #%*@!!$ ..... where is full size Derek crunching Scola?)
Grant land was started by that ****** bastard minion bill simmons so no one shout be surprised that they're hating. It runs in those bastard's blood. That makes their opinion irrelevant.
Why are you all so worrying about negatives in an optimism thread ? It was not my purpose by posting this video :Randal:
I think we are going to see some good things from this group and the start of the road back to being contenders. I'm happy overall with what we are seeing from the young guys. Randle is showing some real flashes of greatness.
Updated the Young Guns Bus. Randle is driving now... Man, lots of young talent. Be cool if they all develop and end up being the new GS. Jerry says hi Jim....
These wins will come later on down the line. It's best the team learns not to take their foot off the pedal early on.
Watched the highlights (as I had an exam today during game time), we looked really good. Kobe shot the three well - read the box score 3-13, really Kobe? Read everyone's comments not quite as optimistic now, but I will say this. This team will provide more highlights this year in ten games than last years team. I am tired of losses though and the game is basketball and not highlights. If only we could have coach Kobe use his basketball brain for good and not for (m)evil. Hibbert will get it done even though he can't finish. Lou and Swaggy will work well together. Do feel D'Angelo needs a looooong time to develop. Fascinated with what he comes. Really interesting someone called him Andre Miller. Would settle for that if he can't be the number 1 pick we dreamed of.
Honestly this is PRECISELY the type of losses we'll see in the early going. We DOMINATED that team. Then the whistle started blowing and the team got shook up a little bit and they let them come back. Next time? Clarkson and Russell and Randle won't let that happen. It's part of the learning process. I thought there was a lot of good to take from that game.
Optimism, we looked fine in a lot of areas until Byron went full Byron. Leaving Kelly and Bass out there forever when it wasn't working, and we kept on shooting threes when they stopped going down. Maybe if Clarkson or Huertas is put in sooner, Kelly or Bass are taken out, things calm down and we hold the lead.
Yes, it will take time for this group to gel together, learn each others tendencies and fit their games accordingly. Save for that prolonged lull the last part of the third and most of the fourth, we were not bad. At least not like last season's desultory group.
Precisely. I generally stay away from this place after losses and boy did it blow up after that one. I understand the frustration because this one could have been easily avoided, but still. Got to keep everything in perspective. This team is 2-3 times better than what we had last season.
You think this place is bad? Go to Lakersground. Good lord. Everyone there is already proclaiming Russell a bust after one game and killing the Lakers for not taking Okafor. Anyways I still have optimism. We saw flashes of what we could be. Kobe looked very spry and lively in the first half. Was crossing over dudes, getting seperation, hitting some rhythm jump shots and then it just all went to hell in the second half. Love how Randle went at KG and he played very physical overall. Love his demeanor. Clarkson looked like a young Tony Parker offensively. We finally have a rim protector. The bench other than that horrid backup big rotation was solid.
Oh no I don't think this place is bad. I love this place. I live at this place! I also know that after games I'm emotional, everyone here is emotional, the players are emotional and that bleeds into what I type. I like to take the night to think about what happened, then come back. Unless we win Then I'm here right away!
I feel this is the only thread I can go where most fans aren't going ape S*** after a Game 1 loss. Frustrating but growing pains with 3/5 starters being very young players we're going to see things like this from time to time. I hope to see improvements with Russell going to be handling the ball more often.
