https://mobile.twitter.com/MagicJohnson/status/659602910368522241 I love Magic, but really? The team looked like dog s*** and they had sixteen point lead and choked it. It was absolutely disgraceful. Basically made our #1 pick a spot up shooter. Let Kobe chuck shots up like it's 2010. Was posting up Hibbert like he was a prime Bynum. Went with one of the worst backup big rotations you'll ever see. Went underneath on every screen and roll. These were two bad basketball teams who will likely be batting like it out for the worst record in the West. As long as Magic's boy is coaching.
Yeah, remember the tweet with D'Antoni when he was terminated: 'Happy days are here again.' I don't take him seriously.
If this were 'Antoni he'd be calling for his job. But as you said, this is his boy. That's one of the worst parts of this, that a blind eye is turned to his awful coaching because he's a former Laker champion. After the show they put on during his hiring last season, with all those Laker greats showing up, it's gonna take a miracle to get him out of here in the next couple seasons. I hate George Karl, and I find myself wishing we had him right now.
Did Worthy have comments after the game? Looking for someone to keep Byron accountable and call a spade a spade
I don't recall anything specific about Byron. It was the usual stuff, disappointing loss, this one hurts, blah blah blah. As I said in gametime, what's he gonna say? He's not gonna criticize his buddy, especially now that he's a coach too and sees him in practice and on the coaching payroll. Byron has no accountability right now. We aren't firing yet another coach so soon, again, especially after the show they put on when he was hired. We're screwed. I thought we could be decent in spite of Byron, but if he's gonna run insane lineups that's not possible.
I stopped taking Magic seriously a long time ago. If it was anyone but his boy Byron, you can imagine magic ripping him and probably Jim a new one.
