I'd be ok with Glen getting out of it only because I don't remember any other character surviving like that (besides Rick in the Tank ep 1). They just cant make it a tired cliche, and I don't think it will be as long as they don't do something like that again for another 5 seasons
I mean I get him landing under the other guy. I get the zombies at first only eating the other guy. But he's surrounded and trapped on the ground! How can he possibly make it out of there alive? Even if he somehow judo rolled Nick into the group of zombies and scurried under the dumpster he's still absolutely trapped and they'd get to him in seconds. I just don't see how he can make it out of this one without some dues ex machina stuff where a bomb falls exactly far enough away to blow half the herd up and attract the rest to the bomb sight and someone pops out of the dumpster to stab whatever zombies are left.
I don't disagree that he's still alive as of this moment, but it's a lame cop out that he's alive at all is my point.
We'll see. He can't roll under the dumpster. I've never seen a dumpster that was up high enough on wheels for that. I'm interested to see how they handle it actually
Then what?? If he can't get under the dumpster then what could possibly save him?? He's stuck under a weight with hundreds of zombies around him!! There should seriously be no way he gets out of there. I'll be disappointed in the show if that happens. As much as I love Glenn's character, I'll be upset.
I don't understand why they don't go with the zombie guts disguise all the time? I mean, if you're cornered by a herd, kill one, drag it into a store, slaughter it and rub guts all over everyone, then casually stroll down the street invisible.
I'm with @therealdeal on this one. I really like Glenn and didn't want to see him go, but I had expected him to exit this year because of the comics. I didn't expect it in episode 3, though. But now that he's dead, I want him to stay that way. There is no way to survive that. I don't get why they didn't try to get up the fire escape or shoot the lock on the back door to the store. If he makes it out of that predicament, it'll be a cheap emotional ploy which they've managed to avoid thus far. Maggie coming face to face with zombie Glenn would be pretty brutal. Lesson of the day: don't get close to Maggie. Everyone around her dies. Regarding rick and his cut.. Spoiler You guys think this is how he'll lose his hand? (Like in the comics under different circumstances)
someone is gonna make some noise in the back and all 5000 zombies will leave glen alone that's all i got
Real is absolutely right, but I don't care. Glen is my favorite character on the show and I want him to escape!
Eh, I'm just not so pessimistic about what the writers might come up with. I'm going to give this show enough credit to see what they come up with before I'll make a judgement.
Seems that the evidence points to Glenn still being alive. If he was conclusively dead, they would've made a bigger deal out of it on the Talking Dead. Each episode of the Talking Dead, they list everyone that dies including random extras and walkers. Apparently Glenn wasn't mentioned on last night's episode in that section at all. But yeah, I hope they're just trolling us. Drop these hints to make us think he's still alive and going to somehow survive. Then at the start of the next episode (well, two more episodes since next week's episode seems like it will focus on Morgan) have it start off with Glenn safely covered by Nicholas's body and guts and make a move for the dumpster ... only to show that there's no room under the dumpster to hide and then definitively show Glen getting eaten. Basically, like others have said, I liked Glen. But that situation is too ridiculous for him to survive. I actually enjoyed that scene because it made me feel terrified by the zombies for the first time in a while. In a horde, they are a legit threat and they finally portrayed that well. In fact, they portrayed it so well that (I know I'm in the minority), but I felt for Nicholas at the end. The actor did a damn fine job. Earlier in the episode, you can tell that he's incompetent and cowardly but really trying to be the guy that Glenn sees within him. And then starting out at that horde of zombies, everything just seemed futile. I had a mini-panic attack a few years ago when I realized I messed something up in my chemistry lab for the whole class. I can't imagine how I'd respond to staring my inevitable undead existence right in the eyes. A lot of people are acting like Nicholas was selfish and if he didn't kill himself, Glen would be alive. I don't see that. I think the only way he was selfish is in that he didn't give Glen the opportunity to off himself either. Because the way I saw it, even standing on top of the dumpster, there was no way out for either of them.
Well Nicolas could have just sacrificed himself and attract the walkers away for a second. The side of the fence where the forest didn't seem like it had any walkers, he could've jumped and climbed over to that side. I was screaming for that to happen . Another thing to consider is that things will occur differently from the comics, to keep things interesting. For example, Carol is already dead and Andrea is actually alive. So, there's that.
The other side of the fence had zombies too that's why they couldn't climb over! Death to Glenn! He cannot make it out of this alive with any semblance of logic!
Somebody posted on my Facebook what if the whole situation was a hallucination from Nicholas because the part where he shot himself. How could he if both he and glenn ran out of bullets? Just a thought. And my opinion is Glenn isn't dead. Somehow he made it out alive.
