I don't disagree, just saying they're now far, far closer to his mentality now compared to where they were when he was alive. Now Morgan and the preacher are where they were and those two seem like silly idealists. Obviously Shane was also a homicidal maniac, but he's pretty well suited to this world. He'd fit right in.

Devil's advocate: Shane HAD to sacrifice Otis. Otis refused to leave Shane behind (pretty sure Shane told him to at first). They didn't have enough ammo or speed to get away. So, he could do the noble thing and die together with Otis in a gesture of camaraderie (which would also indirectly kill Carl)...or he could do the smart thing - sacrifice Otis and save both himself and Carl. It was brutal but justifiable.

Him trying to set up a plot to execute Rick was not cool though (even though it looked like Rick maybe talked him down before gutting him).

I think with this last episode we've seen Carol kinda coming face to face with her own cold hearted brutality and wondering if this is the right way or not. Whereas Morgan is kinda having the opposite journey, wondering if he has to take things further than he has been. Damage has been done though, as the Wolves now have a gun.

Yeah the juxtaposition of Morgan and Carol is terrific and was symbolized nicely by the two of them literally coming to a crossroads at the end of last season and walking in opposite directions. Exactly like you said: they're both realizing the dangers/problems of their ideals and starting to journey away from them.

At first, I was devastated cause the scene SEEMED like he was getting gutted. I had a Jon Snow reaction to the scene lol.

BUT, thinking over it he wasn't really screaming or in pain as if he was being eaten, unless Glenn is that much of a BA lol.

Going back to Michonne's comment to that one guy about not knowing who's blood is on you whether it's yours, a walker, or a friends...

I think he'll get covered in that idiots blood and somehow sneak his way out of the herd.

That doesn't make sense though. I know he's not dead yet, but how exactly is he supposed to get out of that? Even if he's trapped momentarily under Nicolas's body, he's surrounded on all sides. Even if he manages to roll under the dumpster or something he's still trapped and alive and they know he's there. How is he supposed to escape?

As upset as I am/was about it, they shouldn't try to save him at this point. That ruins the effect of someone dying. His death helps make you feel like now Rick is in very, very serious danger. If they just used Glenn as a cliff hanger and he finds his way out somehow honestly I'm going to be upset about it.

He's going to somehow find himself under the dumpster and there's going to be a hole he could climb up into. After he steady himself from everything he's going to hear Rick on the radio, "Hey d******."

It's strange that large number of walkers already didn't bite him in the face as he was laying there, but you never know. Crazier things have happened.

If he's covered in walker blood, which it seems likely, his scent would be masked and he could make his way out.

We've seen Michonne and Carol do it before smearing the blood and disguising themselves with a large number of walkers.

I think he'll get covered in blood, the walkers will "somehow" not get to him, and the herd will be distracting by a noise that allows him to escape.

While I love the character, I'd hate that honestly. It turns death into a tired mechanism and lends credence to the idea that some characters are "untouchable". There was so much about that episode that made it a perfect ending to Glenn's story. Don't waste that just because it's going to sting that he's gone.

It's a terrible cop out, in the moment of watching everything leads to him being dead but if you take a step back, you can see signs that they'll "surprise" us and he'll be alive.

Shows nowadays are "they are dead when you see the kill shot".
