    Yeah I mean obviously he needs a clinic first, but it's also important for him to have a job afterwards to keep him on the straight and narrow.

    Id love to see the Lakers honor Lamar. When he is healthy and able to attend a game at staples, it'd be cool to have an Odom appreciation day. Have all the Lakers from his tenure in attendance or video shootouts. I know Lamar will always be a laker in his heart, so it'd be nice to see the organization put something on for him.

    Glad he pulled through and that Khloe will help him through this ordeal (still not a fan of the other Kardashians though).

    As others have said, hopefully he can come back home and get a job with the team.

    Lets hope his kidneys decide to kick in, that's his biggest immediate hurdle. One step at a time.

    I feel worst for his children and I hope they are a major part of his recovery.. not just for him but them too.

    And now that he's out of immediate danger, I'm mad at him again for letting his life play out this way. Good for him to find his wife again and hopefully this keeps his freaking on straight.

    Good news bad news dept. ^^^ Fabulous if she truly still loves him. Unfortunately will end up on the frickin' Kardashian show.

    Plaschke actually wrote a very good article on it today. Read at the end how Lamar handled talking to him about negative stuff Bill said about Khloe, while talking about the "show" back then. One of a kind.... a genuine "kind" soul in a rough world .... Lamar. Matt Barnes would have gutted him in the hallway outside the dressing room.

    This remains to be seen...given how publicity driven that clan is. Odom could be just a pawn for ratings.

    I think there's genuine love between the two of them, but it is definitely disturbing how this will be used by the show.

    Yeah. It wouldn't be too much of a cynical leap to think the light bulb went off in the producers heads on the show, that here was real life drama, and with all the seedy, edgy side to it too that is gold for rag mags and shows like this, and a chance for huge ratings if Khloe and him were together again. Then again by many accounts she is the most "real" or genuine of that whole clan. Hope so. For both their sakes. But no doubt this all plays out in the show now as it's what is happening in Khloe's life.

    I posted a link on how Alvin Gentry has the same sentiments but Plaschke does not in his recently penned article. It's not Khloe but the whole family around her who gravitate around them like harpies especially the mother.

    I agree on two counts... It will be woven into that show whether us Laker fans like it or not.

    About Khloe? There were accounts on how she shielded Odom from her harpy sisters and the producers. She also encouraged him to re-connect with his wayward father. She made time to meet his kids from his first wife. She organized Odom's life about finances and accounting for meetings [potential endorsements] as such. That Plaschke article where she did not want him to spend too much time with that "best" friend? Well, she was probably right. Dude was bad news...od'd and bought the farm a while back.

    Bayless called her a "sow" just to be an a**hat. Now let see if the couple is "Unbreakable" as their perfume name says.

    I don't like that the Kardashian's are involved in Lamar's recovery at all, because other than his wife I don't think any of them care about him. Medina article I read yesterday said he will need therapy to get his organs, even his brain, repaired. Are there going to be be reality show cameras around for that? Is this family of vultures going to use his pain for drama on their show? I wouldn't put it past any of them, but especially the mother.

    If LO and Khloe got away, maybe, but I don't think it's possible in that family, they're horrible human beings. Good luck to LO though, I really hope he fully recovers, but I don't think being around those people will help. In fact I'd guess marrying Khloe and being on her show is what started him down a destructive path in the first place.

    More so probably ^^^ not being able to deal with the Lakers trading him for Paul and that whole scenario following. But definitely the show couldn't have done any good for him in the long run. Khloe yes but family is totally messed up.

    Well I'll ask this, were the paparazzi following LO around like the scum they are waiting for him to melt down because he got traded from the Lakers, or because he became a reality star connected to the Kardashians? Did it become a huge media frenzy when he disappeared for days that one time because he used to be a Laker, or because it was part of the Kardashian story? Did his downward spiral stay public and all over the tabloids, and did he seemingly have to go into exile away from the spotlight because he used to be a Laker, or because he was a Kardashian husband?

    I get that he had a hard time being traded, but I'm not putting that on the Lakers, that's life in the NBA. I put way more blame on that family and them using anyone they can for drama and ratings. It's still no surprise to me that 2 of the biggest narcissists on the planet in Kanye and Kim got together.

    I get where you guys are coming from with the Kardashian hate, but I'm trying to avoid being too cynical. I get the sense that Khloe truly cares deeply for LO (and vice-versa).

    And with that said, I just had a cynical thought that might actually work in everyone's best interests. The Kardashian's PR people HAVE to be hearing a lot of this hate towards them. It seems that a lot of people in the mainstream have suggested that their influence contributed to LO's downfall. Maybe they might just not care, because despite any criticisms, their ratings will still go through the roof. But maybe they can look at it the other way. Really go through the effort to show that they care about LO for the PR boost. Genuinely help him through rehab, yet shield him from the media. Even if the support is fake and those vultures would prefer to have him on the show for ratings, that would make them look better.

    She has a large life insurance policy on him. She can help finish the job and not even fall under suspicion after recent events, and make out like a bandit.

    Terrible that those kind of thoughts even had to cross my mind in this case, but her RIDICULOUS negotiation up front for all kinds of ludicrous money was sending red flags up everywhere. That was pathetic.
