Sick, looks awesome. The whole world of it looks so real compared to the overly CGI prequels. I love how Han looks to be a major character, how that sith or whatever he is seems to revere Vader, how the young kids have heard stories of the stuff that happened in the OT, Han telling them it's all true. I also like Luke's reveal being kept a secret, I want as much of this as possible being kept from me going in, want it all to be fresh and new, something that was pretty much impossible with the prequels.

If you don't want fan theories don't click the spoiler!

I think the events of Episode 6 where he flirted so hard with the dark side have scarred him a bit. He's become the new Yoda so to speak by exiling himself somewhere. Nobody knows where he went though and Han and Chewie have been searching for him. His role in this movie will come because he'll feel a disturbance in the force from that new Sith character.

Also that was a great trailer! Still revealed very little of the plot, but gave us some basic ideas of who is good and who is bad and what their roles are. Brilliant.

Rumor is this is the last trailer. There may be some tv spots that have l like 3-4 seconds of different footage, but we are done as far as story.

Yeah, savory, I've read for a few days now this was the last trailer. With the movie only 2 months away I think that's smart, I want to be spoiler free.

I honestly love that I know pretty much nothing about this movie, even after leaked concept art, 2 teasers, a behind the scenes, and a trailer. So ready to just take the journey in the theater.

Star Wars marketing over the course of time has been terrific. I saw a thing the other day that said the majority of the names you think of from Star Wars (Ewoks, Wookies, even words like blaster rifle) have come almost exclusively from content OUTSIDE of the movies. If they're heard in the movies it's in passing once or twice. That means Star Wars is such an immersive universe that we as a global society have picked up that we've added those words to the vernacular of the movies. It's incredible.

Add that to the sheer business and marketing power of Disney... There is an absolute frothing desperation for this movie and we know almost NOTHING of its content. Phenomenal.

It has been remarkable. People are scrambling to buy toys of characters we know nothing about. It just has to be good. It doesn't even have to be great. It just has to be good and the empire (no pun intended) is off and running. It's looking more and more like Luke is going to be held until the end and have a gigantic reveal.

I also read that all the materials we have seen thus far (not counting last night's trailer) is from only the first 1/3 of the film. Toys, trailers, everything. It's all only from the first 3rd in order to prevent story leaks. I mean, it's not just Luke we haven't seen. We haven't seen Snoke or Hux, two big baddies.

We haven't really seen anything. We know the basic characters and some basic background on them, but nothing concrete. It's crazy.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm not doing the fanboy thing again after the last three movies. They are going to have to earn my trust, but I'm ready for them to do that. I WANT this movie to be amazing. It really comes down to whether the new main characters grab my interest. Qui-gon and Obi-wan did but Anakin and Jar Jar were so bad. In the original movies I liked all of the characters.

Are we sure the Sith in the poster isn't Luke?

    Luke always did wear black

So much to love in that trailer. Can't wait to see it. Ford has had great moments in both trailers, hope that's an indication of his whole performance. And to piggyback on the other comments, I'm glad and equally shocked at how much of this film they've kept a secret. It today's age of social media, that's incredible.

    Is it December yet?

The bar is very, very low IMO. This trailer alone is better than episodes 1 and 2, though I did, and still do very much enjoy Revenge of the Sith. That one was fun and a memorable event in the theater, and I still watch it once in a while and am entertained. I actually prefer to watch Episode 3 over Return of the Jedi most of the time.

That would be soooo bold if they went that direction.
