Oooooohh. :D Watch out and proof read. Karacha's keeping the bar set high on LakersBall. As should he. My work flow is to shoot from the hip, type as fast as I can before the thought escapes me and get it freaking posted!!

And then..... have to quickly go back 3 or 4 times to fix it grammatically. :p

I can swing that. But I like the idea of Russell being humbled. Russel's a project and humility never hurts. You know he'd take it to the heart and work his a** off...and he does have a ton of things to work on.

But Marcelo will be great for the 2nd unit. Someone that can keep the unit's composure. I guess Lou and Marcelo can switch off initiating the offense, anything that keeps Swaggy from taking 8 contested 3's a game.

Hehe, sorry about that. But yeah, I agree that Russ is actually much better defensively than he was given credit for. He'll be solid and his size will bother many guards in this league. When it comes to Marcelo, he already has good chemistry with both Tarik and Kelly, and he puts Swag and Lou in the best position to score without them having to iso much. He makes our 2nd unit a lot more potent. It is absolutely crucial that he stays healthy, otherwise we're seeing Lou running point with the 2nd unit. While he is capable of doing that, it takes away from his biggest strength, which is scoring.

Huertas would make the backcourt with Clarkson worse, IMO. You're also not able to switch as easily defensivey like Russell and Clarkson can.

Not only that, if this is truly a developmental year, the faster this trio builds chemistry the better for our team.

I suppose we could always give up a couple future 1st rounders and bring Kendall Marshall back in case Huertas gets hurt? :Magic Brows:

Russell has to start. If he's supposed to be the future of our team and the #1 FA draw, we need him featured a lot.

Besides, having Huertas to change pace will be awesome. Our bench at times will be better than our starters and I'm okay with that right now.

I really hope this is sarcasm because if you thought he played a bad game against against Blazers you're mistaken. He looked the most confident out there from an offensive standpoint and sure the assists weren't there but watching the game he wasnt doing much of the setting up when out there on the floor like Heurtas was.

I did kind of take my cue from the box score with zero assists and that he didn't do that much in the first half. He did sink the first shot he took. Then, my fault, I kind of dosed some in the 4th quarter when others are saying he played his best offensively. Was watching the game later on time shift. Headed for my "corner spot" now ...... I'm not worthy! Good to hear he did better than I thought though, thanks.

OK rewatched 4th quarter to make up for missing stuff and yeah D'Angelo played great and clutched up down the stretch. Kid's looking good.

One thing's looking really cool is that at his height and length and skill level he's able to post up smaller PGs down low, and he's already got that one legged Dirk, Kobe, Marcelo step back J working. He's got his bump you backward mojo working as well.

I'd have to think that "pretty much" is coach speak for absolutely.

Just say it Byron, Huertas is a shoo-in. He is making guys look much better. I think we'll see him out there subbed in early at times and at the end of games a lot. He doesn't just find shooters, he finds guys like Metta at the rim from the other side of the court. Totally capable of breaking down the defense.

I know he's a rookie in the NBA but come on the guy is 32 years old. We need him rested and healthy for our 2nd unit. Plus we have plenty of other rookies.

Bums me out to see Huertas relegated to that duty. He's not a fresh kid...he's a pro from overseas.

That sucks. Agreed with everyone here. He's not a fresh kid, he's got a bum hammy that they were icing down after the game the other day. He's 32. Get a real rook to haul that stuff. That's stupid.

The whole point of that ritual is that rooks are 19-21 and have boundless energy to waste and then some. 32 and coming off an injury doing this stuff shows bad care of the elder bodies by the med staff but I got to think that maybe Marcelo asked to be given the same treatment as the other rooks.
