I'll tell you, I don't like him. As others and I have said, he's completely invisible out there. Sure he doesn't really screw up, but he doesn't do anything really positive either. He has zero impact on the game. I'd cut the guy personally. He's had more chances than most to show something and he just hasn't come through. I liked Holmes way more and it's unfortunate that he got injured tonight.

He contributes nothing. I doubt he gets cut since he's guaranteed.

Yeah I'm more intrigued with an open roster spot.

So, Brown wants to mold his game after Middleton, Ariza, and Green; for some perspective, let's see what those guys did those rookie years.

    D. Green: 2.1 pts, 38.5% FG, 27.3% from 3-point line
    K. MIddleton: 6.1 pts, 44%, 31.1%
    T. Ariza: 5.9 pts, 44% FG, 23.1 from 3-point line

This is a good sign for Brown. Everyone touting how he will never be any good. All of our good young players have run a similar gauntlet. Practically assures he will be at least a decent player...lol

I have found him invisible on offense but very visible on D. Good on ball defender, and smothering off the ball, with good help instincts. He seems to have 0 handles which hurts his offense, and his outside shot has stunk. Time will tell, when teams make their final roster cuts a decent veteran 3 may be available leaving him on the outside looking in.

I don't know if he'll be as good as any of those players, but I can tell you each of them struggled their 1st year, so it puts everything into perspective. If he works hard enough, who knows? He's getting paid a very small pittance, so let's see what he can do. It's a developmental year...

So, he had a good shooting night, his first good game as a Laker I'd say. If he's going to be one of our main SF's, whenever Kobe is hurt or sitting out, then you want him to be doing the one thing he is advertised as being good at, making threes. If he's here to stay, we can only hope he can hit his open shots, and that his defense reeeeeeally improves, because I'm not seeing that aspect of his game at all, he looks unnatural, stiff, and lost a lot of the time.

Yeah I came here to say just that. A lot of work, but last night was his first really encouraging sign.

I feel pretty confident this is not an Ebanks situation....lol This kid can actually think out there and knows where to go to get his shot. I know most of everyone here likely played ball at some level. In a new situation one of the hardest things to do is make shots till you get your confidence up. Smart move for coaches to talk about his defense and have him concentrate on other things. Takes the pressure off of just being a shooter. How many (shooters) have we seen come to the Lakers and fail? I like Brown and Coach Scott is handling him perfectly so far.

Have to give him credit, he did well last night. He hit all his open 3s. If he can hit at close to that clip, he's an asset.

I'm rooting for him. I hope he continues to improve. Additionally, I hope he starts when Kobe is hurt or if Clarkson misses anytime, we throw him in the starting lineup. I think Nick is better served coming off the bench, and Ron is better in limited minutes. It's a developmental year. Develop him.

Coach Miller's lost it. Hibbert saved Brown at the rim in the first clip they showed of Brown.

I'm not sure he ever had it. :D

Seems like he did that to toe the company line. He even admitted the pick was made because of "smart" defense and not necessarily "good" defense.
