He is? Did not know. I thought he was an undersized 2 and was trying to play the point, like Lou Williams in Russell's absence. Just what I thought.

Well he's definitely a G and not a SF. I was just saying he's not going to be a "3 & D" forward for us because I think he's maybe 6'3" or so.

Oh I see... glad I'm not the only one who got that confused haha. The moment I read about Frazier I just thought of him as a wing player.

I would be delighted if Anthony Brown turns out to be a serviceable player. Hope me proves me wrong

I'm almost always in the minority but I don't want him in the D League. I like players being sent down for injury rehab, timing, some conditioning. He has to play through his rookie jitters and learn the NBA game. He is going to bring a lot to the table and I want this group of young players learning together and building chemistry and camaraderie. He is apparently showing good things in practice. We kept hearing that about Julius and then all of the sudden he exploded on us. AB is definitely not Julius but I believe, with patience, he will be a valuable piece. Players going through these growing pains together really bonds them together.

I think he needs to go to the D-League for the same reason all of our rookies (not out injured) have for years now, playing time. I don't see him getting much time when the real games start, Kobe and Young are our SF's, and Metta may be too. He's 4th on the depth chart, and he needs to play against pro competition to improve, not sit and watch, so... D-League. He can build camaraderie with Nance jr down there, lots of it.

1/3 of our team might belong in the D-League. *sigh*

I hope Brown succeeds. Byron likes him and so do the Lakers FO. So, I think we'll see a combination of him staying active in the D-League and getting rotation minutes at some point during the season; probably around or after January, IMO.

Once again I found absolutely nothing intriguing about Brown tonight. Except maybe the fact that Brandon Rush just used and abused him when Brown was on him.

Zero points on 0 for 2, 1 board, 1 assist in 15 minutes. He was invisible again.

I haven't seen anything from him, but I hope he pans out.

Actually I thought he looked better. I still don't see Bruce Bowen or anything, but I saw some potential finally for a plus defender.

But Brandon Rush went around him like he was glued to the floor. I don't get anything from him.

Not every play and honestly getting beat to the rim isn't even my criteria for bad defense anymore, the rules being what they are. His awareness is improving. The first couple games Anthony Brown would be in the wrong place both offensively and defensively. His reactions were slow. He showed some improvement in those areas.

Brandon rush was intrigued with his defense. not a good sign when a guy who's barely hung on the league because he can't handle the ball as a sf blows by you in space twice.

I do like that brown plays with some physicality, though. he'll mix it up on the boards and isn't afraid to fight for position. but his feet aren't quick. really, nothing about his game is quick. it's hard to change that, so he'll have to make some serious improvements in other ways if he's going to stick, imo.

Agreed completely. I'm seeing that, too. Slow release on his shot and slow feet on D. Not good IMO.

I thought that was Sacre's nickname. He could be captain invisible, or maybe son of mr invisible.

Nah you can actually see Sacre make bone headed plays. Anthony Brown? You just don't see him out there at all.

That's a good point, Sacre can negatively impact the outcome of a game like Wes Johnson, Brown blends in with the wallpaper.
