You know I'm teasing. This is such a good group at LB since opening day around a year ago ..... trolls need not apply ..... that it is like family and makes the entire Lakers experience exponentially better, regardless of the struggles and successes of this great franchise. I hope things get better real quick for you with whatever is going on. Hang in there. :JerryBuss:

If he comes through this and shows a desire to turn things around, I'd like to see Mitch offer him a scouting gig. Let him join Rudy T on the road. I think being around a Rudy T would be great for him, he'd hold a position by the team he still holds dear, and would be around the team in a capacity without too much stress or demands.

That sounds good. Let's hope Lamar's pride won't get in a way.

If he comes out of this, I hope the Lakers give him a position at TWC or as a player development coach or something along those lines. Something that lets him stay grounded here in LA around people who care about him.

Yes to player development. Most would find those 5 words above an oxymoron but when you go from being a champ to having nothing to do and couple that with personal life tragedies, drug history, Kardashian craziness, I think LO needs something time consuming and player development sounds best to me. No to scouting just due to it's out-of-town requirements. Give LO something that challenges his knowledge of the game, let him work with our bigs like Randel.

Agreed with all of the above, I'd love to see him involved with the Lakers in some capacity.

I just hope that when Kobe, Pau, Fish, Luke and the crew meet up years down the road to reminisce about their back to back titles, Lamar will be right there with them as well.

The only reason I want to get him on the road is I think it's going to difficult for him to cut the people out of his life that he needs to. Also the LA media is going to continue to stick tu him like a leach until they see there's not a story there and he begins to bore them.

I agree, but if he's just a boring assistant coach there's a lot less drama. Part of what drives his story is that he's constantly making iffy decisions. If he's got a 9-5 job then it's all good.

Imagine Lamar Odom mentoring and coaching Julius Randle. It would help Julius a lot I think.

Leave it to Metta World Peace to be the voice of reason. He said he's sick of the Kardashians (not Kloey) being there non-stop and Lamar's own kids have to wait in line to see their own dad. He's right. I'm sure they love Odom and rumors are the camera's aren't rolling, but get out of the way so his kids can see him.

Odom is a drug addict. He doesn't need a 9-5 job. He needs rehab.
