Maybe it ends when we get a top 5 pick to team up with a repaired Randle?

Sam Bowie type injury. Really sad. Definitely sucks for Randle. 1 game.

If our play tonight is any indication, a top 5 pick isn't out of the question.

I'd agree with this...there is absolutely no 2nd option on this roster. It's going to be a long, long year. I projected us at 40 wins. We may be in the low 20's...

I'm truly saddened. I was loving this kid and I'm so bummed he got hurt like this. I hope he'll recover well and I hope he does it sooner than later. It's depressing. He was definitely the shining light of the season.

If we get a top 5 pick, Phoenix gets it? And otherwise we get it?

Top 5 pick we get it. 6th pick or above it goes to Phoenix.

Our pick is top 5 protected...if we fall in the top 5 we keep it; anything outside of the top 5, we give to Phoenix. Two picks in the first round next year would be a good start to add more quality talent or package 1 or both of the picks in a trade to add 1 or more impact players.

I think a top 5 pick might be in question without the Randle injury. This just gives me even less reasons to enjoy it. Man I hope the Lakers find a silver lining.

We will. The one thing I know about Randle is is mental stability; he's not fragile. This will hurt him and all of us right now, but he will bounce back; I guarantee it. He'll put in an amount of tireless effort in rehab and be back at 100%. He's definitely not going to let this ruin his long term future. As for us, it's been a long 3 years, I know. We all feel the numbness, sadness, anger, but this too shall pass. We'll find a way past this and get back to the top where we belong. That, I know without a shadow of a doubt.

I think he'll be back before the end of the year, IMO. 4 months would put us at Feb...latest March. We'll have 2 months left of the season.

This picture absolutely saddens me....sick to my stomach. It's just crazy how unfortunate this team has been with injuries. Prayers go out to Randle on his road to recovery. This sucks, one of the few bright spots i was looking forward to seeing this season was the development of Randle.

At least the good news states he can make a full recovery physically. It may set his development back, but hopefully he'll have a new partner in crime by next year if the lakers play their cards right.
