So...umm...haven't been posting much since not much Laker stuff to post on. Come here and see this...I mean...What. the. f***? I really liked Roo. What would make him even do this? I mean, was he ever sick? He strung that cancer thing along for a while. His posts were VERY intelligent in the Open Court over at CL whether you agreed with him or not. Someone who posts that kind of stuff fakes his own death on a freaking Laker message board? What. the. f***? I don't know that I'm mad. I was sad when he "died" but finding out he's alive is sort of confusing. I feel like posting about 10 confused GIFs to express how I'm feeling.
As someone who's been extremely sick for a years.. it's pretty disappointing to read someone would do that. Not cool man......

So I just read this whole thread from the beginning and I'm like wha...HUH? I mean you go from feeling sorry for someone to the sudden bombshell being dropped by Barnstable. I literally read that several times just to make sure I saw that right and it wasn't like some bizarre joke or something. But reading on it was obvious it was not. SMH I don't know what to say about that other than good job not letting that go on any longer. You can always pretend to be something you're not but eventually it all gets found out. Obviously I don't post as much as others; I'm one who really enjoys reading others thoughts and opinions more so than posting mine and I definitely remember Roo from the CL days, but his posts definitely did get more pessimistic at the end there, just didn't really have an interest in indulging in his less than positive views on our team even if they were bad. I did sometimes enjoy some of the back and forth he had with others though. Oh well I guess.
I saw someone making a Roo joke in another thread and thought that was in poor taste... eventually saw the post that Barns made here. Bloody hell. This is some crazy stuff. I knew Roo was polarizing, but never thought he would do something like this.
Since this thread has been bumped either way... I have been wondering - Roo was very pasionate about the global warming stuff and how in his opinion it wasn't affected by pollution. Always claimed to have an uncle scientist who was supposed to be one of the best experts in the world in this field if I remember correctly. Maybe him and Roo were the same person too?
The dude on every topic claimed he had some experience/expertise, or knew someone who did important work in the field.
I did the exact same with seeing that and thinking it in poor taste. Then I realized it was sirronstuff and understood :magicsmile: ..... JK ......:Beertoast: ......still I wondered why he would say that so I PM'd him and he just replied with the link for this original thread when it was announced and believed he passed (who would not???) ...... except it now had the new title. This was like 5 or 6 weeks ago. So I started reading too until I got to Barns' post calling what Roo had done out. Most definitely a rotten and weird thing to do. Especially since I had PM'd with him when he was Roo and then a number of PMs with him as Bonk. He literally got annoyed with me as Bonk, when I mentioned as a compliment that he had a similar "style" of posting as Roo and that he would be proud. He took issue with "what do you mean, style of posting". Yeah ..... exactly that Roo and it's what got you on the path to being busted. CHUMP. That was pure:
I haven't logged on in a while, but I had previously mentioned how sad this made me. I had thought about Roo multiple times since and remembering the conversations. I guess it just goes to show one can truly never underestimate the power of a person's true character. Seriously, who does this? Was he just wanting to know what people truly think of him? Some do envision hearing the words and thoughts of loved ones after they themselves are gone. But to pull this stunt is in poor taste.
A lot of people praised him on CL for his "insight" on basketball and politics (though I personally thought he was full of **** on the latter and too pessimistic on the former) when he was still posting. It got to his head, so when CL inevitably went downhill and people were jumping ship to LB and he had that out with Barns, he had to fake an identity to still post, but keep his ego intact.
