From what I read Curry has the perfect arc. Kobe's is lower than ideal. Regarding Randle's shot he can easily correct that. He's young and its not like he's a good shooter anyway.
Okay well from the range of "perfect" no Kobe's not a perfect shooter, but his motion is clean as can be reasonably expected for a volume scorer.
Undersized, can't go right, short arms, can't block shots/protect rim, can't finish around rim, only looks good when playing people his size or smaller and his shot. All that being said, all the things hes good at will make him a very good player. Just my opinion.
on a fast break last night, he dribbled to his right to the basket and scored..... I think great players find a way to hide their weaknesses and accentuate the positive. Pretty sure he's doing to make us forget about weaknesses soon enough.
how many lefties can really go right effectively? the key is being able to show just enough of your right hand to get the defender off balance. even when LO started using his right hand it only happened once every few games. most defenders aren't smart enough to keep forcing the guy right since they're so accustomed to forcing most players to their left. of course it would be great to see him truly develop that right hand, but a smart player with just enough handles can get guys off balance and go back to their left.
LIke I mentioned in gameday his ball handling with his off hand is really damn good. It's his inability to finish with his off hand that leaves taking some times awkward left hand shots when he should be using his right.
yes. Mainly finishing is the issue. Why? He is very predictable. You know that if he comes from the right wing, he will choose a spin move to the left or a move to the left 98% of the time. I think its very important for him to have that jumpshot and have that off-hand. Not because he needs to use them often, but because he needs to keep the defense honest.
This is the "dagger to my....." type thread. Only thing that is weird unlike the infamous thread in CL for Kobe was that Kobe had played quite a few years. Randle is just starting and we got this already haha. I hope we keep this for years and years to come in the archives to laugh at 10+ years from now.
Bynum, after only a short period of time but enough time to have shown flashes in numerous games of what he could do physically on the court, was the subject of the "will never be special" thread I was referring to. Though the "Dagger to my stomach Kobe has lost it" thread was epic in its own right. RIP CL.
Though I came back in to LB to see if anything new was up before going to bed. Yep. The press ..... Young Guns..... you're going to love them. Julius Randle tells the world that Draymond Green ‘can’t guard’ him https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...the-world-that-draymond-green-cant-guard-him/
This thread was jokingly started because Randle was struggling after the Summer League and the first pre season game. And people were concerned about his performance and venting so I guess LT started this to be funny.
Agreed.. and Kobe is his own enemy in the efficiency department, it isn't his shooting form. If Kobe didn't force the issue so often and take a lot of the crazy shots.. he'd be much higher % wise. I'd love to see Curry doubled/tripled and people allowed to hand-check guard him, like the refs allow players to guard Kobe still, we'd see Steph's % fall through the floor.
http://lakersball.com/help/trophies You are in the 113 club. Apparently there is no higher Honor you can achieve.
